BST100 V2 Super Overdrive Reviews

Perfect

First off, this is a great amp, and it’s an Audio unit, so buy it. Now on to why. It sounds amazing, both clean and heavy. Additionally, it has an impulse response loader to change things up a bit. It doesn’t seem able to load user files, but you don’t really need them. It’s easy on cpu, too. I own a LOT of amp sims and to be honest, I bought them searching for a good heavy tone. I found a few, but they were always really noisy, and the noise gates killed the tone. Plus they were cpu hogs. I get a really nice heavy tone from this with almost no noise. Like, almost none. Very acceptable. And the noise gate on this amp does not squash the tone if you decide to use it. I don’t need effects to get the tone want now. Wish I’d have found this sooner, I’d have saved money and gotten what I want earlier. Just enough options to have fun, not so much you start wasting time and money. Great guitar player’s amp sim. Pull the trigger.

Amazing AUv3s

I certainly owe an apology to Nembrini for dropping stars in the past on my review for a wrong reason: A few months back none of Nembrini’s apps supported AUV3 parameter automation, however I checked today and this has definitely changed. When? No idea, I was sure it hadn’t but clearly I was wrong. Ultimately, this was literally Nembrini’s only problem. Your money is well spent here and will save you lots in terms of spending on hardware, definitely an incredible purchase. I do have to say that the price ranges are a bit steep with some of their apps but ultimately they are top notch quality and really there is not much to compete with in the AUV3 realm. Maybe someday there will be a cheaper option, but for the moment Nembrini not only is top quality, but remains your best bang for buck for good amp sounds on iOS especially since it supports AUV3. Say goodbye to interapp guitars, which regardless of how nice the programs like Jamup Pro are, have become kind of useless imo ever since they decided not to support AUv3. I’m also quite sure these AUv3s sounds far better than those apps so I’m glad I don’t ever need to use those again. Congrats and thanks Nembrini, brilliant work.

Very Impressive

If you play guitar and you need an amp sim that’ll do everything from dark jazz tones to bright snappy country, blues with a touch of break up to ballz to the wall metal, this can do it and do it AMAZINGLY well! I’ve never played a Holy Grail amp but I don’t need too. This sounds great whether or not they were successful in modeling that amplifier. The gain will go higher than anyone would ever want. Unfortunately I have to say the noise gate is not up to the task. It does ok but I still had to add a gate in my chain. Having said that, this is probably now my number one for recording guitars on my iPad Pro. Dev... please add a better noise gate!
