Don’t Leave Home Without It!
In the past, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to new places (think vacation) photographing never knowing that a better location was nearby thus returning home with images that could have easily been better if I had known about Locationscout. It’s super easy to use and whenever I’m heading out to shoot I automatically open this great little App and bookmark subjects and locations that I didn’t want to miss. For vacations it helps me plan sights to see and oftentimes, things that I didn’t even know existed.
Great for location suggestions.
I use it always when traveling to new places where I have never been. I plan ahead and it saves me a lot of time. Strongly reccomended.
Very helpful planning tool that save time researching photo spots
The app is easy and straightforward to use. I like that it can be a timesaver for photographers that may otherwise go to Google Earth, for example to search random photos to see what other geo tagged locations they would like to shoot. I like too that can save time in determining sunrise and sunset angles as opposed to using, for example, an app like PhotoPills. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that I haven’t used it for very long, mostly so far just for planning an upcoming trip.
Fabulous
No need to buy a book, or research for hours and miss out on some great photos on a weekend trip. I was in the airport and reading the news on my phone in the travel section I came across an article about New Zealand. The author said he found all of his location for his photos from this app. So I downloaded it and found some places I didn’t know about on my weekend trip. I have shown my pictures and everyone wants to know where they are and how I found them. I’m not a professional photographer and I travels a lot on business and always take my camera with me. Now I’m adding an extra day just to go spend the day shoot all these places I never would have found. It’s so easy to use every time I get in the car I open it up to see if there is anything I haven’t seen before or should go and shoot.

I’ve been a photographer for many years but I rarely got the chance to travel. When I finally planned a photo trip to Europe, I needed a way to find to best spots near me without wasting tons of valuable time trying to find them for myself. This app was exactly what I needed. It gives you examples of the views and each spot and some examples of the photos that are possible from there. It includes directions as well as advice on parking, and little helpful specific trips like “make sure to bring bug spray” or “sunscreen.” I’ve been using it regularly since that trip and I hope to continue. Thank you for making this and to everyone who contributes!

Brilliant
I am new to this app but am excited to use it! As an amateur landscape and cityscape photographer I am thrilled to be able to preview the places I will be visiting so that I can map out my photo journey with help of beautiful curated professional location photos, travel and parking info, weather, sunset and sunrise info! 4 stars rather than 5 only because the app development is still in progress. What a great niche for outdoor photographers
I love to travel our planet. I love the challenge of taking beautiful outdoor photos from different places. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time online trying to find great photo locations. This app saves many hours of of online searching by letting me know about great locations, in a matter of seconds! I plan on looking into the unique features of this app in the coming months.
