Buddy offers a $9.99 monthly renewing and a $49.99 yearly renewing subscription to unlock Premium functionality.
The purchase will be charged from your iTunes account if you choose to buy the Buddy Premium subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription period ends with the same kind of subscription you already bought to the same price unless you turn off your subscription 24 hours before it renews. It is not possible to cancel your current subscription during the time your subscription is active.

I really wanted to use the app as I like the UI and general ease-of-use of it, but as it doesn’t let me create recurring actions like monthly income or subscription fees, I can’t give the app more than one star. The only complaints I have is I’d like to be able to search for a transaction. I would also love to be able to add recurring transactions that aren't monthly, i.e. bi-weekly, quarterly, every 6 months etc. Personally I have several bills that are due every 3 months and they can’t be tracked properly in my budget.

I have tried many similar apps, and Buddy is one of my favorites. I would happily pay a one time price, say of 5€ to gain premium. But currently you get so little for the subscription. At least let us have a fixed amount of categories so we can delete useless ones and add our own ones.

Be aware that you cannot export any information that you add into the app, if you do not have premium subscription. This means that all your information will be taken hostage until you pay for premium. Say no to this and stay clear from this app.

Also, like said here earlier, there is no import, which kinda makes this app totally worthless. Manually adding bank account transactions into budget is just stupid process by devs. Not worth of paying anything for it.

When creating an expense transaction, I set it recurring for every month. However, the current transaction isn’t created so as the recurring plan, which is very annoying. I love the app and don’t want to replace it with another yet. Please fix it :)

Greed comes over everything in App Store nowdays. This is one such example. Only subscriptions available even though I’d happily pay like 5€ to simply be able to add new categories.

Definitely not worth it. Shame as the app looks and feels OK otherwise.
