Buddy: Money & Budget Planner

This App is great for having a view of where your money is going, without which you can’t fix your finances

Enjoying the app so far.

Been using free version of Buddy to track my daily expenses and it works fine. You get to have a fairly good idea of what takes your money and in what proportion & frequency. The only pain was losing all of my previous data when I lost my last phone. I guess it was because of the free version. I can’t pay with Apple Pay in my country, so 🤷‍♀️ I really like the line items under the different expense groups too. You can set reminders, track your income and also carryover left budget allowances.

Full of bugs. Lags and freezes. Lost my data.

As many other apps, this one requires payment just to keep track of your expenses.. no thanks.

no longer works with typewise keyboard after update. please fix this its a massive downside.

I like the layout of the App and it’s a big plus that they offer an iPad specific App. They recently allowed for multiple logins from the same institution so that’s a positive development. Buddy has the option of one time purchase with is better than all the subscription models. I would compare them most with Wallet by Budget Bakers and Spendee. Those two offer multi-currency cash accounts which is a huge plus over Buddy for me. Otherwise the main shortcomings of Buddy are lack of splitting transaction categories and creating rules for categorizing future transactions.

please add receipt attach options for each transaction. It would help a lot!!

My husband bought this year subscription for the sole fact that we could both contribute the budget. However, when he invited me to it. I can’t even see anything without having to also pay for the subscription.

Good app but you need to add the ability to see Apple Card spending
