Buddy: Money & Budget Planner

This app effectively incorporates all three essential features of a finance tracker app: a wallet feature that allows you to monitor your net worth and liabilities, a transactions feature that enables you to track your financial activities and influence your budget and wallets, and a budget feature that assigns a job to each dollar of your income. This app supports multiple users with shared budgets, transactions, wallets, and multiple budgets. It connects to banks for automated transactions, allows for the setup of recurring transactions, provides statistics and charts, offers a calendar view, budget projections, and the ability to split up amounts among users. Users can configure the overview and budget views, as well as the categories, export data, and reset data. This app has some areas that could be improved or expanded upon. For instance, while it has categories for spending, saving, and debt, it lacks an investment portfolio section for stocks markets, or cryptocurrency. Consequently, these aspects are not reflected in the net worth. Additionally, the transaction feature lacks a built-in calculator, making it difficult to perform calculations. Furthermore, users cannot save transaction templates or pair transactions like wire transfers and transfer charges. There’s also no option to create sub-transactions or split transactions afterward. Moreover,there are no recipe/photo attachment feature or location attachment feature. While the note attachment is basic, I would prefer to have a shopping list attached if I select the grocery category. Another area for improvement is the Apple Watch app, which doesn’t provide a way to record income transactions. Additionally, there’s no integration with Apple Shortcuts.

Have tried multiple apps for tracking my finances but this turned out to be the better option. I would prefer if this has a calculations built in as well to add some transactions together in the app itself without keeping multiple records. But this deserves 5 stars for the options given in free version

I forgot that I had this and it really helped me budget. 10/10 Recommend!

This app is genuinely amazing. I love all the categories and being able to organize how to spend money it helps in how to save money so easily. The only thing I would change is if I go over my salary I don’t want it to add to how much I can spend. But other than that it is absolutely perfect!

I get paid every two weeks, but you can’t change your budget for each payday. It’s just a set list of your budgets. For example if I want to pay one bill for one payday and a different bill the next, this doesn’t allow you flexibility to do that. You also can’t add due dates so I would have to still track my bills outside of the app.

I can’t get enough of this app! I went from having my bill binder on paper to a physical book to Google Sheets to this and it’s by far the best, but you can’t click paid on transactions? I want to make sure I don’t forget anything which I do a lot since switching to this app compared to sheets just wish it had paid or something, maybe up coming bills as well and stop showing future payments as transactions lol they aren’t even close to being complete yet!

Make a cross platform app so I can budget with my partner we both really like this app but he only likes using android.

Updated it and now I can’t get into the app because when it asks for the PIN code, it does not offer a keyboard to type in the pin. Why is the keyboard not showing up!? Pls update and fix!
