## Budgey Description
Budgey shows what's left of your paycheck, so you know what you can spend before you pay.

Your bank balance still counts money that's going to rent and bills. Budgey takes that out and shows you one number.

Budget by paycheck.
Budget periods run payday to payday, so the math matches how you get paid.

Auto transaction importing from your real banks and cards.
Connect your bank or card once. New charges come in from the bank, so you don't type each one. You can turn Auto off and add spends by hand or scan a receipt.

Cards and loans become payoff goals.
Connect a card or loan and it starts as a payoff goal at today's balance. Budgey reminds you what to pay, and how much, before the due date. When you pay, the goal updates.

Shared budgets.
Share a budget by email. You both see the same categories, transactions, and notes.

Bills and goals.
Set due dates for recurring bills and get a reminder. Save toward a goal each paycheck.

Ask BaoBot.
Ask if you can afford something and get a yes or no. Log a spend by typing or talking.

iPhone, iPad, and the web.
Use the same budget in the app and at budgeyapp.com. Home-screen widgets show your number at a glance.

Plans
You need a plan to use Budgey.
Core is $4.99/mo or $19.99/yr. It includes live bank sync for 1 bank or card, budget editing, shared budgets, and BaoBot with 100 messages and 5 minutes of voice a month.
Plus is $11.99/mo or $99.99/yr. It adds live bank sync for 2 or more banks, 2 or more budgets, and BaoBot with 500 messages and 45 minutes of voice a month.
Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm. Your plan renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

Edit to my original review - I was locked out of some of the app when the new update rolled out. This was upsetting because I’d paid already. The developer was prompt and friendly and went above and beyond to assist. 

I’ve been using Budgey since the beginning of 2025 - after much trial and error with various apps. It’s been the most straightforward app that I’ve tried while also meeting all my budget tracking needs.

Don’t waste your money! I bought this app for $9.99 for lifetime access to the basic budgeting features. Then, one month later, they change to a subscription model where they now want to charge me $10 more each month just to access the budget that I already made! I can’t access my own data now without paying more— a bait and switch tactic. Essentially they revoked the service I had already bought.

I honestly didn’t think budgeting could be this fun! The theming of this app alone makes me want to open it every day. The little panda “mascot” is adorable, and I love that I can switch up the themes (the cottage core one is my favorite.

Budgey works like a digital envelope + zero-based budgeting system, which makes tracking super intuitive. It’s been rolling out updates pretty often, and honestly, it’s exciting to see the app keep improving.

The biggest win for me though? It’s made me way more mindful of where my money goes. I’m already feeling more confident about tackling my debt faster thanks to Budgey. Highly recommend if you want a budget app that’s actually motivating and fun to use.
