Background & font color (white on light blue) are nearly illegible
A clever compliment to bujo, however, let me suggest a few things: 1. an option to share a page in my library 2. an option to number a notebook to what I want it to be. Cool app!
I really want to give this app 5 stars but it has an absolutely fatal flaw for myself and I’m sure many others. You can have journals with overlapping dates. The reason this is critical is many of us can not mix our work and personal journals. So if you have to keep 2 journals that overlap the same date period you can’t back them up. If the app would simply add the ability to have multiple journal libraries it would solve this problem.
Why can’t I have two journals that overlap? Don’t make the app so rigid!
I maintain 4 bullet journals... 1 for work, 1 for personal, 1 for my garden, and 1 for my travel. This app won't let you add journals in your library with overlapping dates.
I just paid 4.99 for this app and there is no FAQ for how to create entries. Just the warning that log items are deleted in 72 hours. Is this because it’s a read only app on the iPad? I have tried every choice on the app and don’t see anywhere to create a journal, take a phone or anything, . I searched help on website and there are only articles that say this app exists. I have to figure out how to get my money back
I’ve had this app for several years now and have loved the simplicity of the layout and functionality for tracking tasks. (Note: i don’t use it as a resource for anything else so i can’t rate that.) There was a recent update to the app which changed everything from the appearance (it went from black background to red/yellow/orange tiedie?!) to the functionality- the task log is no longer default screen when the app opens. Instead there are now daily journaling prompts that load first and i have to navigate toward the log. Very annoying. And the color scheme of the background makes it nearly impossible to read what you’ve written. Who approved this?! I’ll be looking for a substitute asap, or just use the notes app instead.
After the update today I’m not able to add new journals to the library. It freezes during the setup of a new journal when I try to adjust the year on the end date and crashes about a minute later. It also overheats my phone. When I restart and try again it allows me to at least move the year on the end date but freezes right after and crashes again. After playing with it I realized it doesn’t like the year 2017-2018. When I set it up using a more recent year it worked. Then I had to go back in to edit and correct it to 2017-2018. Is there an update for the update? lol. I’m using iPhone 15 Pro Max. This happened on iOS 17.0.2, I updated to 17.1 to test, did the same thing and again to the Beta 17.2. Update: Now when I use the loophole to add older journals I can’t change the date bc I can’t have overlapping dates 🙄 so I change whatever journal has overlapping dates temporarily but then it stops me bc of more overlapping dates and in the end it created two random mystery volumes on its own. My old journal I was changing the dates on is now empty. The contents are now split between the two new mystery volumes and when I try to change the dates and just make it work somehow the whole thing crashes on me when it sees 2018. Ugh!!!! This is so frustrating!
The background is a very annoying bright red which renders the reading of the text quite difficult. I cannot find any area of improvement over version 2.0. The installation of version 2.5 cannot be reversed.
Overall I really like the app. It’s simple, easy to use, and works well. The new version has some clutch features like backups and a sample BuJo. I’ve had some problems with the app crashing, overheating my phone, and generally being slow or unresponsive. It seems to want an internet connection, so if I hit my data cap, and get throttled, trying to load the app off Wifi is painful. Disabling cell data for the app seems to be a workaround. Not really sure why it needs connectivity to simply open. Most recently I’ve had issues marking items as migrated or completed. It doesn’t register correctly unless I’m in the reflection screen.
