They take around a week to review simple proof of address (rental contract) and in the end they asked me to send proof of address again! In the meantime I opened a normal bank account.

Due to some bug you can't change the language, so I have it automatically installed in Russian. But the translation of the app is so poor I barely understand the meaning of any button! Of cause their promise to register the account in 5 minutes is false too: I've just got my account frozen instead and can't even delete it. 
Suggestion to developer: just delete this misunderstanding from the app store

They refused my documents, but they continued sending me emails to pay my monthly payments as if I have an account with them.
All attempts to contact them failed , they simply don't response 
They focus on their rights, but they intentionally do nothing to protect your rights 
I do not recommend this garbage bank for any serious person

Beware, if bunq flags you for whatever reason they want they will steal your funds. You then have zero options to call or contact them until they finish their review in 4 months. This is a disaster for expats and an awful way to treat your customers.

Have been locked out of my bank account for a couple weeks, before that would get periodically locked out and always have trouble getting back in. Always says that I have entered wrong password. No good way to contact them. No phone number. And don’t respond to emails, can’t use their chat support option because it is only available once you are logged into account. DO NOT USE BUNQ.

As an expat, the Zero-fx feature alone makes bunq better than any other bank and allows you to use your debit card anywhere in the world for essentially zero conversion fee. Plus, being able to see spending insights and see how much you spend over a specified time period is something I have never seen before and it's awesome.

I've been a happy premium customer since 2018. The previous design was perfect and felt like a bank app. The new design is a big step backwards in terms of design and functionality. I can sadly no longer recommend Bunq and will be looking for alternatives. I will happily return when the app is fixed.

I enjoyed bunq's features but they just increased prices for two people by €6 per month, with no transparent communication. Only when digging into blog posts and forums was the price increase clear. I no longer trust this bank and cannot recommend them.

Canadian residents can’t sign up. But they’ll let you download the app, upload your passport photo and so on, and only at the end they’ll tell you “Sorry you can’t sign up”. What a waste of time! And now my passport is in some database waiting for the next major data breach. Great.
