They keep telling me daily that they will return funds that were sent to me for a sale of a personal item. They asked me for support document which I supplied, still did not get credited and every day they tell me a different lie. I told them to return the funds to the Sender, because now I’m getting sued from the buyer accusing me of stealing his money, which I’ve never received in my account and they won’t return the funds. Beware of the people, now no one answers anymore from the chat support. Don’t trust them with your funds.

My bunq account was closed 20 days ago due to suspicious activity, now they want tax number but I am an part time student in hungry and no one give the tax number !! Now all of my savings are lost and I request bunq to withdraw the balance but they resist to do that; this the example of modern embezzlement !!!

The AI "help" feature is worse than useless because it ends up wasting more time as you try to resolve a problem using the answers it gives you only to find they are completely false.  Rapidly losing respect for this company.

Long story short I had to close my account because of how inconvenient it was to switch to the free plan. I got charged for a paid plan even though I requested it to be changed to the free plan BEFORE the renewal and I already paid for the current month.

I have been on a paid plan for a year. Recently I spent all my balance and got it to 0. I then tried to switch to the free plan and expected to not have to pay since I already got charged for the current month. To my surprise the app showed me that the plan will change next month after another payment is made. Indeed, I got charged for another month. Why, Bunq?

Customer service requires multiple tickets to solve issues. Despite o multiple follow-ups.
The paid account version they advertise a ROI on the money you have deposited but the interest paid is not aligned with the advertising.
Overall they are other service providers that charge less and have better benefits than the ones offered by Bunq.

Every new update, I keep on hoping that finally the global search bar has been returned and the incredible stupid Finn AI has been removed. By removing the search bar, you have removed the one thing that makes a mobile banking app a better option in the first place: the removed need to go through bank files manually to search for transactions. Digital banking started like this: the digitalization of payment records. And you guys have removed it. Extremely sad. Extremely stupid customer support. Stupid decisions like this will be bunq’s ultimate downfall.

My friend Barbara Muller transfer €2,000 to her brother in law since 27th- 28th November 2023. From BAN: DE64 3701 9000 1010 5451 48.  Till date Bunq bank didn’t deliver the money and they closed her account. Please be careful with your funds in bunq bank.

I did a mail in repair with Apple.  Part of the process involved a hold/reserve of money.

Apple finished the repair and released tge hold.

Bunq kept the money.  We are at almost 60 days since the hold.  Bunq wants me to request a refund, which apple states will block my credit card. Bunq asked me to chase down an ARN that apple does not surface to customer service.

Ultimately, bunq does not understand banking.  There customer service is poor and wasted your time.

So beware using them fir this type of transaction, as you may have issues.  Hotel reservations are a common example not related to apple mail in repairs.

EDIT: in a reply to this review Bunq lied. My app clearly states “This account has been closed” and yet I still have a negative balance from fees charged after it was closed.
