This app worked great for me for years, until today, when suddenly, without me ASKING OR CONSENTING to it, i discovered that texts TO me are being blocked if they contain a specific word.  SOMEONE behind the scenes has decided that ANY text containing this word- the specifics of it are, i think, irrelevant- should not make it to my eyes *to decide for myself* whether i want to block the sender, or whatever.  i texted the in-app support number and have received no response.

This is an unaccountable entity arbitrarily deciding, without consultation or notice, to interfere with OUR communications, and if someone there doesn't turn it off, and apologize, and come clean about it, i'll be spreading the word and demanding my money back for the next 11 months.

I live in China and one of the most frustrating things of the past 5 years has been getting a good connection when I call back home to Canada. Between hums, static, muffled voices and dropped calls I’ve never had an app work so well as this. Crystal clear connection every time. I wish I had found it sooner and saved myself a lot of money and aggravation maintaining a Canadian number and dealing with other apps which required a VPN to get through China’s firewall. Thanks Burner for taking care of an unnecessary expat stress 😁
