Started learning French with Bursuu at beginner level. Ok so far so good. Pronunciation good, male and female. Sometimes I prefer female as they are easier to understand as some males have a deep accent, that is personal preference. The spelling part is also good as it makes you concentrate and focus. Best language app I’ve ever used!!

TaylahMW2001 on

I have learned more Japanese in two days of having this app than I did in two weeks of using duolingo. Easy to understand, amazing learning progression and even has little footnotes to help you remember things and reasons why certain words are used/in what setting they should be used. Amazing!!

The ads when finishing a level are inappropriate and suspicious.

Joyxone on

I decided to try this app out as the reviews seemed great. After completing a few levels, the ads were okay but a few were really inappropriate and suspicious. Please could you remove those ads as they are somethings that people learning a launcher do not want to see.

Honest Review

I like many others have tried a lot of language apps, Duolingo, Babbel etc. For me, it’s focused yet interactive and engaging format, it’s structured learning and ability to communicate with others in the language learning community, to both give and receive help from native speakers, make it by far the best one out there. However, I will say, I myself struggle with the speaking aspect of learning a language, gaining confidence and fluency in conversation, and do not pay for premium, it would be nice if even a few speaking lessons were available for free, without a free trial. I was also confused why the French course only goes from A1-B2 when the Spanish course goes up to C1, but near fluency is achieved at a level C2, which is not available on either course? Which is really annoying for those of us aiming for fluency. If this was changed so the courses when from A1-C2 it would be game changing! The app is great, definitely worth it, but you won’t become fluent.

On track to Arabic fluency

Pandy888 on

I’ve always loved Arab culture and, using only the Busuu app, I’ve been teaching myself Arabic for the past 18 months. I spend only about 15 mins/day on it. I’m thrilled with both the app and my progress. I know all the Arabic alphabet and can sound out words. I have treated it like a secret code and it’s a great challenge to my 63-year-old brain. I repeat lessons over and over until they start to sink in. While I lack the confidence to speak just yet I can understand a lot. I can’t wait until the day that I hear an Arabic conversation and can chime in!

What an excellent app!

I’m learning Chinese and I am a complete beginner. I absolutely love the Busuu app and enjoying the very well thought out and perfectly structured lessons very much. At the end of each lesson you learn something including vocabulary, sentence structure, handy tips, interesting facts, examples, exercise questions, audio for proper pronunciation of the words… It’s just a perfect and complete lesson each and every time that leads you to and ready to confidently begin and flow on to the next lesson. I recommend Busuu and their outstanding learning App to the highest possible level. It is indeed like being in a classroom with your own teacher teaching you at the most highest and dedicated level. You cannot help but learn from their lessons because they are so well thought out and structured towards the best for the student.Thank you so much, Busuu for your outstanding App! Cheers from Australia. :)

Way better than Duolingo

As someone with a current 500+ day duolingo streak, 1 week on Busuu has been so much more beneficial to my Spanish progress and also learning Portuguese from scratch. It’s very detailed in the why and teaches you things you’ll use immediately rather than ‘Come Manzanas’ I also love the community help feature where everyone helps each other. Big W Busuu
