Used it to learn arabic, choose “beginners”, studied for a bit just to speak to a natural speaker who told me - “they thought you written arabic that no one one earth actually speaks. You may get very few people to understand you, but they would think you are a weirdo” All the time and money spent on the app wasted. Feel deceived.
Im using Busuu to learn Spanish, and my progress is just amazing thanks to this app. It contains separate levels for learning, it gives u grammar information in a very very clear way, and it’s just makes u learn properly. I highly recommend!!!

I think this is a great app, but it does get to a point with all the ads you need to see in order to do your daily learning. Take doing a few lessons for example; the ads disrupt the flow and make it less enjoyable. I would love to see them adding a sort of learning challenge that gives you a few lessons with no ads. Other than that, it is single-handedly one of the best apps I’ve used, if not the best. It keeps me entertained with a new subject in every lesson and the ability to recap the lessons, words, I need to recap. Overall, extremely good app. I would definitely recommend you do more than just spend an hour on this app. Try reading, watching movies, and conversing in the language you are trying to learn. An app by itself is not enough. Reading and watching movies is probably the best thing you can do, however. They are plenty of apps for that, though. I would give this app a golden 5 stars if it you didn’t need to spend money on premium just to keep your flow. But I think 4 stars is fair.
The best app I’ve ever seen to improve language skills
This is such a friendly way to study a language! Studying journey: Must say I was able to study fast than I had assumed… I remember by the first week I was able to already handle a daily short conversation. This application’s teaching and explaining is great! They help us with languages such as Japanese (what I happen to be studying), that have a few forms of wording - AKA formal and informal plus different levels! Not like many other applications that usually teach the “anime” version of Japanese which is BTW extremely different than spoken, here we get a lot of reasoning as for: when, why and how. Absolutely a solid and good level of teaching for an app! Community: You can study from native speakers in the community while also teaching them your spoken language, a lot of fun and non-toxic at all! I’ve been searching for applications that could help with pronunciation because it’s obvious that even if you speak the language - when you can’t make it understandable there’s no point. I am not a big fan of having an AI to check my pronunciation and obviously a native speaker would be best. Here it’s mutual! I find it adorable and pleasant. Made some friends and a supportive relationship with users.
