## buttons event recorder Description
Buttons is an app for constructing and using custom single purpose macro keyboards. 

Typical uses might be field notes, research or hobbies like birding.

Rotate iPhone to landscape to see a log in large text. This is useful when you want to display a message to another person.

You can use buttons if you have a variety of similar things that need to be recorded multiple times and you want to know exactly when and where you recorded that event.

Once you construct a keyboard you can use it to record events that you are interested in with a minimum of friction. Each event is tagged with time and location and can be output in several well known formats; KML, GPX and CSV.

Each button can contain more text than is printed on the label. For example a button labelled "C-Milk" might log "Delicious Chocolate Milk" to the event.

Your keyboards can be exported and be easily distributed to a team of people so that everyone is using the same format.

Really hope this product hasnt been forgotten. It’s been so handy for tracking timing for home births and other birthy scenarios. I have one man glitch coming up, and a few minor ones or at least things that could be polished up. But the main one being selecting colors for the buttons is not functioning. No slides. Can’t select other colors. Just a variety of red hues. Please please continue this product and bettering it! It’s so useful!!

I used this to track my times while working EMS. it worked great on my watch and made it super easy to track times. But it stopped working on the watch. I would give it 5 stars if the watch app worked again.

This app is beautiful in its simplicity and its ability to be customized for whatever purpose you have. Our older dog is having issues with incontinence and regularity, and I needed a reliable way to track her eliminations. I can help her by making sure she gets outside before too much time passes. After a long search, I was about to give up, but then I stumbled across this app, and it’s perfect! I can launch it from my Apple Watch, and with just a tap or two, I have created a log entry that includes what she did, what time, and exactly where we were. I can even pull everything up on a map. It’s everything I wanted, and more. I’m already trying to think up other keyboards I can create!

I want to like this app for it’s simplicity.  I only need to log the time and location of events I observe.  The problem is that it will not log the GPS data.  If it did, it would be exactly what I need.

Hello,
This program is GREAT. I work in IT and it's a pain keeping track of things when you are constantly being interrupted with 'drive by ' requests. Then at the end of the week the bean counters want to to quantify your work. Easy to do when your work an assembly line, but hard when your constantly bouncing between tasks with little time to ponder. This is really helpful quickly getting it logged. One question my keyboards are getting pretty extensive is there a way to back it up in case I need to restore?

Use it to log elimination and feeding of our puppy. Tried several apps for this purpose, including some that cost $10. None was as simple, beautiful and frictionless as this. It integrates in the iPhone's "Today" screen - so I can log events without unlocking my iPhone. It's super fast: Take iPhone out of pocket. Press button to activate screen. Swipe down. And tap the button corresponding to the event I want to log. DONE! It's such a breeze to use that it's actually fun. Which means that you'll use it consistently. Perfect for logging events, moods, encounters or if you want to track habits to make them stick (or get rid of them). No other app comes even close! All events are even geo tagged. Which, in my case, means I can see on a map all the spots where our pup has peed since the time I found this app. Cool, right? ;-)
