## B&W Photography Magazine Description
Black+White Photography magazine is the champion of the black & white image. The magazine features stunning contemporary images from some of the finest names in monochrome photography and covers a range of genres including documentary, portraiture, still life, landscape and street. Each issue includes in-depth techniques, product news and reviews, plus readers are given the chance to have their work published by submitting their images via the B+W website. Black+White Photography is considered essential reading for anyone interested or working in the creative area of monochrome imagery.

Paid for app downloads include one issue of the user’s choice. Free app downloads do not include a free issue unless otherwise stated. Within the app users can also purchase the current issue and back issues.

Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.

-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.

Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.

We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

When my iPad notifies me there’s a new issue of Black+White I can’t wait to read it. The editorials of Elizabeth Roberts were always very good. She was a hard act to follow and Mark’s editorials got off to a slow start but now I would never skip his editorial. The photographs, the interviews and the regular sections, especially Eye Phone Photography, are terrific.

I’ve been a subscriber for over five years. Love it. Love Tim Clinch, who writes two articles in each edition, plus Elizabeth’s editorials are always good reading. Plenty of styles of photography is showcased, so all tastes are catered for over a year.

It's a great magazine. I've not found too many mags on b&w but this is a good one. 

The app works well enough. Don't be put off by people saying the app is poor, it's not. It delivers the magazine in good quality and works well. I think some people would like it to do more interactive stuff. And that's a fair request. But it's a request not a fault. This app works ok and delivers the excellent content in a professional way. 

What I like about this mag is that it tackles all types of b&w and doesn't just focus on one area. So regardless of if you like portraiture, landscape, street or fine art, you will find something to relate to.

I used to really love the hard copy versions of this magazine, but I bought it erratically and missed many copies. Besides, what do you do with a pile of paper magazines? This, for me, is the best solution. Now I can keep up, without feeling guilty about the waste of paper.

Content is great, completely let down with the app. After subscribing for 12 months. I still have to go through the process of buying each release before it advises me that I am subscribed. The download takes forever to boot!

I love the mag, find the content fantastic and have been reading it for a number of years, initially on paper and then iPad. 

Latest update of app though is really bad which i have also seen with other Pocketmags apps which both my wife and I have used. It takes very long to load the magazine, and constantly fails. Contacted them and got told it might be my wifi and I should try 3G!  Maybe their support dept. should try harder instead.....

Looks awful on Retina display - the text is almost unreadable. No effort to extend the print version of the publication… not even hyperlinks! Great magazine in print, but the iPad version is frankly a complete waste of money. Really disappointing. Hoping it gets revamped soon. I can't believe I am giving my favourite magazine only one star, but in this context, I can't bring myself to rate any better.

Really enjoy quick, easy and inexpensive access to this excellent magazine. However, the app version is just a PDF of the magazine with a few internal hyperlinks. Most external hyperlinks aren't active but, more to the point, no effort has been made to customize the magazine to the tablet. Particularly annoying in this regard is the fact that photos spread across two pages can't be seen as a whole - a break appearing between the pages which splits the photo in two. This is quite unfortunate when the pictures are the main attraction of the mag. It would also be nice to be able to read articles in a format better geared to the iPad, as most newspaper apps allow.

I absolutely love this magazine and have quite a few of them in my room the problem is the majority of them ARE in my room it would be great if you have already purchased the magazine in person you could get a unique code (either on the magazine or receipt) that you could enter so you also have the electronic copy!
Also the app runs really slow!!!

If you're a b/w photographer and don't know this magazine... SHAME ON YOU. If you do know this magazine, you know how good it is. This app is the magazine, on your iThing. On paper, it's a great mag. On an iPhone (which I use), not so great - difficult to read, slow to turn pages. On an iPad (which I don't have), it would at least be visible, can't speak for the speed.

5/5 for the content, 1/5 for the execution (mostly NOT BWs fault, I will admit - its a limitation of the platform I use). Maybe there's a possibility that the content could be formatted differently for iThing use? Until something changes, I won't be using it again.
