I downloaded the app and put in that I wanted to lose 1kg a week, which was the recommended standard. Tell me why it tells me I need to eat 1.100 calories a day??? I calculated my BMR and everything and if I ate 1.100 calories a day I would LITERALLY be starving. That’s the amount a toddler needs for their maintenance everyday so why would I an adult who moves everyday need that little? Immediately deleted the app, because if they’re already promoting starving then I already know their AI scanning is false too lol.

I was setting everything up and the last step was to start a free trial of 3 days, no other option. Why can’t there just be something for free and to get like everything pay a little. Why do we have to pay money to better ourselves?

New user here. I've used MyFitnessPal for over 8 years. The app is great - the display is clean and minimalistic, and using it is simple and motivating (just one picture before a meal instead of more screen time). However, many things don't work. The AI gets it wrong more often than right, but honestly, that was to be expected. Perhaps it needs more data input? The bigger issue is that when you want to 'fix' something, the fix feature is very inaccurate. It only adjusts the macros of the ingredient itself, instead of adjusting the total meal and your total intake (only calories get adjusted). Additionally, it seems unable to add ingredients manually.The tracking perspective is also very limited, focusing only on the basic features. It shouldn't be that hard to add more in-depth features. Please add the following to start: Water tracking, measurements (waist, hips, shoulders, etc.), sync with Apple Health". Also, you have to pay.

I don’t get the positive ratings, the AI is most of the times not accurate. The food logging via text (LLM AI) is not accurate too. It gets te portions so many times wrong, I can’t change portions after the AI saved the ingredients. I can’t rename them either. No support of other languages. For the developers: the features that are meant as your edge on the competitors is too unstable.  The calories are also incorrect too many times. This is why I cancelled after 4 days of using this app. Also stop the false marketing on social media that it’s accurate, it’s not. If you fix it, you have gold in your hands but I’m sure your churn must be on the higher end.

Dont get me wrong i love this app. Just by the fact that i can snap pictures or scan the barcode of my favorite snacks and save them for later. 

But i do miss some features like widgets. I would love to see widgets to keep up with the current competition. With widgets you can see how many calories you have eaten and how much is left.

I also hope to see the log exercises very soon so i can keep my whole dieting journey in one app. Because now im paying for 2 apps which is making me decide which one i should cancel. When this feature will come the decision will be very clear for me, CalAi any day.
