Easily type out math with the basic and scientific calculators for quick solutions. With the Math Notes calculator, solving expressions, creating and using variables, and even plotting equations on graphs is as simple as typing or writing them out.


Basic & Scientific Calculators
Type complete expressions with parentheses, and basic and scientific operations before hitting equal for the final answer. With history, you can keep track of previous calculations, and easily copy or switch back to previous results.

Unit Conversion
Unit conversions in the basic and scientific calculators help you quickly convert between hundreds of units including length, speed, temperature, weight and more. You can even get up-to-date conversions for currencies from around the world.

Math Notes
Type math or write it out using Apple Pencil on iPad, and Math Notes will solve your expressions inline as soon as you add an equal sign. Math Notes supports all the same functions as the basic and scientific calculators, unit conversions and even math written vertically.

Variables
Create variables by typing or writing their name, an equals sign and then their value. Name them with letters or words. Tap on a variable’s value to easily adjust the value up or down. And use your variables in expressions, and even graphed equations across a Math Note.

Graphing
Type or write an equation, and with a tap you can graph it in Math Notes. Zoom, pan around, or resize your graph to get it just right. You can even add multiple equations on the same graph to see how they’re related.

The calculator used to be able to repeat calculations just by hitting the ‘equals’ button multiple times like a calculator usually does. That function is gone with the update. You should be able to type 2+2= and get 4, then =6,=8 etc. Now you have to enter +2= every time.

Why did they change the calculator app? It makes no sense. I had to download a third party calculator app. All of a sudden you can’t see the percentage of a number (ex: 2500 - 15% (you can’t see 375, you can only see the total). Very hard to calculate transactions now. 

Please revert this app back to what it was.

I like to figure out compounding interest, typically I would type (let’s say) 1000x1.02 and then I could press the Equal button as many times as I wanted to compound, now I can only press Equal once and then have to retune my numbers, the last update is junk

Repeat function now gone.
If you wanted to use the equals to repeat your calculations, you could hit equals multiple times. 
Ex. 1+1=2, answer +1= 3. Now this function is gone. This has ruined the calculator in my opinion, will be downloading a different app and never going back.
