Absolutely delighted with this sat nav, brilliant route planning, fantastic tools behind the scenes and the pre planning of routes and the ability to jump into a route is very good

Best Motorcycle App MUST HAVE

We go on tours to Europe every year and we would not be without calimoto you would never see the places you do without this app well worth the spend.

Great app keep reading

I've been using it for over 2 years, it used to be way worse but they keep improving. I gave it 3 stars because it lacks allot of features. Problems: it still doesn't know about roundabouts, some are missing, it doesn't know all the exits for the roundabouts, if there is a roadblock it's not updated in real time, sometimes it takes you on very bad roads, proper off road, slightly left out right actually means follow the road, speed limits most of them are all wrong it needs a major update. Calimoto need to let users interact with the app so it gets updated in real time, that's what makes other apps so great.

So far so good been on a lot of roads that we didn’t realise were there .

Does what it says on the tin

Having bit the bullet and upgraded my phone to one that would accept Calimoto upgrades have been impressed with their customer help staff. Understood my issue with off line maps and provided the solution. As with any nav app you have to learn how to drive it to get the best from it. Will be testing it out using off line maps soon which will be the proof of the pudding. Very happy with it.

CarPlay is currently useless

A recent update to calimoto has made CarPlay useless. The next turn display does not count down the distance any more. This means you have to keep staring at the map for your next turn and it no longer auto zooms when approaching the turn. I reported the bug which they were quick to acknowledge but cannot give me an eta for a fix. With a rapidly approaching bike trip coming up I now have to switch nav apps

Great idea, but…..

On the face of it, a great idea. You can choose twisty, winding, no motorway or fast. Great! On a trip from Gloucester to Southampton (normally a 2 hour trip) it took 4 1/2 hours. I selected twisty and yes, it look me down lovely little lanes, but not really lanes you can enjoy the ride. They were small single lane roads that, whilst the national speed limit applied, 30 - 40 mph was as fast as you could safely ride. That was for the entire 120 mile trip. It took me through a ford and up an unmade road. Not great. For the return ride I selected winding. Same route as windy. Then I tried no motorway. Boring trunk roads. Fast - motorways. So, for me, very frustrating and not a memorable or particularly enjoyable ride. On the plus side, the interface is clear and very easy to use. Good at a glance but not options. I won’t be subscribing after my free 14 days trial I’m afraid.

Make new rides with ease

I’ve used calimoto in other countries and it’s made light work of good routes. What also I really like it for is finding new ways to get to places from my house. Or even just pick a destination and do a round trip route, and enjoy the ride.

Subscribe, for what?

How can you justify charging a subscription for a navigation app that doesn’t provide any ongoing value after the initial purchase? There are only a handful of apps in the world that deserve this, because of ongoing costs of providing data for example. However, apps like Waze are free, and no subscription. I think this is just a race to greed.

My New Go To Ride App

Just tried Calimoto for the first time for a quick 100 mile bimble around roads familiar to me. Very impressed that it directed via roads I’ve never spotted or knew existed, extremely impressed, can’t wait to use it next time!
