calimoto motorcycle navigation Reviews
Great app, can easily become perfect
The app is great at picking unique routes. I used it for my trips through Norway (4500 km) and it has taken me places I would not have come across otherwise. It is really solid in proposing interesting routes and seems to avoid suggesting previously travelled routes where possible.
Things I hope that will be improved:
Stability: the app tends to crash once or twice during longer rides (250km +), it recovers perfectly every time though. I use it in combination with wireless apple CarPlay which may be a contributing factor.
Coverage: when going through longer tunnels the app does not estimate progress but stops updating the position. The Tomtom app that I use in parallel shows it is possible to fairly accurately estimate progress through tunnels without a GPS signal.
Overview: I have not yet found an easy way to zoom out or get the full route overview while riding. Would be good if that can be just a one button shortcut.
Routing: sometimes it is a bit disappointing in taking you off a main road, only to drive parallel to it and merge back onto that road after a couple 100 meters. Hence it would be good to have a one button shortcut to zoom out 5x or so while riding to see if it makes sense to follow the suggested road.
Hope that helps, keep up the great work!
Nordic routes
Works really well on the rides I had found some new great routes easy to use.
I do miss the option to find dirt/gravel roads for my KTM Adventure bike. Also not to be able to turn off the voice directions is irritating
Planning
Isn’t possible to plan the trip over 3000 km. Rubbish
Steine gale
Disse folka skal ha 95 kr per UKE. Eller 649 per år. Helt latterlig dyrt.
Gute Routen, nervige Usability
