This is my second day ......all my life I have wanted to meditate. and without success......your beginners class is a stepping stone, I am enjoying it and hopefully will continue to climb the ladder, over the years I have brought books and tapes and nothing seemed to work as well as your class......thank you

How can a meditation app support a place that carries out whaling?
I am a very long time supporter and subscriber of Calm but am profoundly disturbed by the sleep story by Simmy Marsh about the Fresian Islands and her glib comment about their long whaling history. How can anyone who supports that in any way sleep at night Probably won’t renew. And bad form Nimmy Marsh
Mindfulness and Spirituality can never be digital
I’ve been trying to use this app for so long having paid for a year. Today I finally understand why it will never work for me. One of the soundscapes is of a purring cat - a great sound, but that can only be truly experienced by an actual cat, an animal that is a wonderful companion to share life with. And that sums up calm for me. For me spirituality and selfcare must come from being in the real world with living things because the digital equivalent is just a part of that which keeps me unwell. Don’t get me the wrong, it’s a well created app but there is a dystopic irony in using a phone to practice wellness. For me, that is. PS. someone said that Calm uses AI tech to create some of the music? It’s hearsay obviously, but I wanted to know if this is true?

I Would give zero if it were an option
