## Cam Viewer Description
Cam Viewer is designed to work with WiFi enabled Nextbase Dash Cams.
Currently compatible with Nextbase NBDVR312GW, NBDVR380GW, NBDVR412GW, NBDVR512GW, NBDVR612GW, MIRROR and DUO-HD.

Cam Viewer will allow Live View from the Dash Cam in addition to viewing video / photo files stored upon the camera and also downloading to your connected device for viewing later.
CamViewer also has an Upload facility to allow video files which are too large to Email to be uploaded to Nextbase who then provide a link which you can send to your insurance company / friends to download.

For your own safety do NOT operate CamViewer or your Dash Cam whilst driving.

One of the worst user interfaces I’ve ever used. You have to decode the file name to figure out when it was recorded and as you go to and fro between the list view and the individual video, when you go back to the list, there is no indication of which one you just watched! Updating the firmware is terrible. And downloading videos is painfully slow.

Use a tablet - it’s impossible to navigate videos on a phone!

I’m so frustrated by this app. It just doesn’t connect to the dashcam. No matter what I do or try (even with the latest firmware) it’s just rubbish. To is means I cannot change any settings on the camera as it doesn’t have a screen or buttons to change settings on the outside. How can such a big company have such a terrible app?!?

512GW. iPadOS 15. 
Wifi enabled on dash cam ok with latest firmware R22.5. 
Connected iPad to its Wi-Fi ok, dash cam show connected.
Start the app. Click connect.
For some unknown reason, forces location services to be on. Why?
It jumps to its iOS app settings to do this (for privacy, my location of off by default also). Anyway enabled both.
Then it want to enable local lan access (is this app a scam?).
Ok I’ll do it anyway. 
Still goes round and round to the same enabled already settings wasting my time when all I want is it to connect (it is) and show or download the contents…it WON'T!
Very frustrating app.  DELETED!
Fortunately I’ve a laptop I can connect or just read the ejected card.  What a pointless wast of time. 
My guess is Nextbase want to grab your details presumably to sell.

Bought the camera through Kia and was installed by them. So far so good. Then tried to connect through the App. No matter what I did it would not connect. I reformatted the sd car, did a reset, deleted app and downloaded again. No joy. Contacted Nextbase and followed instructions from an agent whilst in the car, still no joy. I said was there a problem with the app which he said that was not possible. 
I was told to go back to my Kia dealership as it was their problem. Kia said it was Nextbase. Ping pong moment.
Anyway Kia sent a replacement and today it was fitted. The service engineer said it was now ok as he was able to connect through the app which he showed me and was working and all that needed to be done was for him to connect my phone. 
We downloaded the app and did what was necessary and Lo and behold. IT DID NOT WORK. 
The app kept showing a different camera model and there was no way to put in my model. The engineer thought it might be because my phone is a 15. So we tried my husband who has an 8. Still no joy after 2 and a half hours. 
Conclusion. THE APP DOES NOT WORK as advertised. 
The engineer is in the process of contacting Nextbase because this needs to be sorted out for any future installation by the dealership. 
Come on Nextbase sort it out.
