Didn’t work for me. Instruction video poor. Couldn’t get app on to my Fitbit first generation versa watch
Can’t believe it’s 2024 and this is the suggested 3rd party app to take photos with from a Garmin watch… technically works but takes absolutely ages to get one picture so you’d just as well use the 10 second timer on your phone. Comparable with Vivoactive 5 on an iPhone 15 pro
This worked really well on my iPhone and Garmin Forerunner 245. I figured it was only a couple of GBP and it works really well. Used this to take a picture of my pet rabbit who is a bit skittish.
States it’s compatible with Vivo3 but although the app runs it cannot connect to the watch. Waste of money.
Works exactly as described on the web page. It is a no frills app. Works in conjunction with the watch app you can get from iq connect. Note. The photo does not have geolocation info as app doesn’t have access to phones gps or location data. Future consideration would be to not allow the watch application to have the option to not download the photos as the watch app is just a good remote. Don’t need photo to come through although this only works on wifi it is still annoying as it delays next photo to be taken.
Never ever try this app again waste of money
I’ve got a Fitbit versa and using an iPhone 11 and it works perfectly this is just what I needed as a singer needing content for my instagram thanks so much for making this, I was going buy a remote for my phone but I didn’t want a remote in my hand in my pictures this is perfect as the watch is already on me very happy customer it works exactly how the video shows you it does
Why 3 stars. I took a gamble on the £2. I have an iPhone 6s and an iconic. I read the reviews and downloaded the free iconic app first. Weirdly it Anita worked. It worked enough I bought the iPhone app. I did read the review and I had the same issue. I watched the video and followed it and it resolved my issue. However it is clunky. The video on the developer website is rubbish for sound quality. It needs a voice over and subtitles. It is incredibly slow and clunky (I may have mentioned it) but this verses the remote which I lost? The remote win... until I couldn’t find them. Hoping this review will encourage the developer to work on this. However important notes. A. You do not see any live image on the iconic. Only the click to start shutter on a default 3 second thing (don’t see how to adjust that - needs an easy to see setting option in phone app or iconic app) so you will need to mentally count the 3, and it will eventually show you the picture it took as a mini pic on the iconic screen so totally not the end of the world m. But would pay up to a fiver if it could refine things. 3 stars because it did manage to take a picture and yes I did follow the video instructions at https://cameraremotewatch.com. Look forward to seeing any updates and developer feedback. So overall * for taking a picture remotely * being cheap enough to take the gamble * for having website instructions * much harder to loose than another button gadget - for very slow and... - very clunky system - for lack of ability to modify default setting/etc - because when you pay I expect to see developer responding to app feedback reviews. This may be iconic specific but thought my review may help someone.
Don’t work want my money back, rubbish
I have tried the app with my Fitbit Ionic. The app doesn’t connect to the watch or some other issue(s). After pressing on “take a picture” on the app (watch) a “connecting” message appears followed “connection error, read faq”. On the iPhone side, nothing happens. Anyway, useless app and sub-par app development. Life is too short to waste anymore time on this and I look forward to receiving my £1.99 refund at the earliest convenience.
