Camp Gladiator

It is very frustrating not being able to take a live class using the app it won’t let me go to one. The good news is that I can still do on-demand but that’s not what I was looking for over the last two weeks. Please get this fixed.

This company has probably the worst customer service "support" I've ever seen. The CG workout program itself is good - good trainers, community and workouts. HOWEVER - the membership itself is the part that's awful. It's specifically designed to be difficult to navigate so that they keep you stuck in this confusing cycle, all the while continuing to take your money. Somehow I got signed up for the two year payment program - this was not what I asked for, and I had just been heavily injured so was unable to workout at all - so I tried to call to ask them about it. They do not have public information about how to contact support - the only option they provide is chat (which I'll get to in a bit). There is no number, no contact info - nothing. I had to hunt down the # and finally found it after ten minutes (and much frustration) from a third party website (which has since been purged). When I called, they told me that unless you notified them within an HOUR of signing up, it was 'too late' to cancel. So I was forced to pay $70 a month for a membership I couldn't even use - for a year and a half. On top of that, you cannot cancel your membership online or by phone - has to be done through trainer only. Their "helpful" "article" on how to cancel your BOLD membership has one line only - "if you are eligible to cancel, contact trainer through app." Customer service is ONLY through chat - (my multiple follow ups all had to be through chat as earlier number was purged) after you spend several minutes navigating through the AI that will only answer four very specific questions at most (how to pay, how to add new card, and how to buy gear) then try to send you "helpful" links for articles that no longer exist. When I finally got to a rep over chat, they continued to throw that vague language - "you may cancel your membership when your account is eligible". It felt like I was pulling teeth just to get ANY actually helpful or specific information. I spent a few years doing camp gladiator which I really enjoyed, but this whole manipulative pyramid scheme-esque membership structure left an awful taste in my mouth. So if you're the kind of person who is on top of your affairs, this might be the program for you - but I would avoid it all together.

Y'all broke the app about a year ago. It used to be easy to check-in, rate trainer's workouts, and track your check-ins. With all the lapses in the app, we all lost so many check-ins that they almost feel meaningless at this point. It used to be easy to check-in on the app from the home screen, but now it takes 4 clicks minimum. And now, after taking away trainer ratings from the app, you're reimplementing them via TEXT MESSAGES? This is ridiculous.

I truly enjoy the CG classes I take. But there is nothing good to say about this app. They should kill it and start over.

App stopped working for weeks After frustrating my trainer and myself for weeks, finally discovered the app had stopped working with my iOS version. Would have been nice to see a message in the app that told me that was my problem. I DO RECOMMEND CG because of my trainer Amy W. (Raleigh, NC) regardless of my app issues - because she is so great (try her for online if you aren’t local). I’ve met a couple other local CG trainers, and they also have been good. The online trainers have been good so far. afaik: You have to use the app to be in CG

After recent update, I haven’t been able to check in. I’ve deleted and reinstalled app. Restarted phone and Contacted customer service, they were unable to resolve. Was forwarded to tech tech support. Didn’t near back. Disappointed because I liked tracking my workouts.

The app was fine until CG made changes and now we have all kinds of technical issue. The app is still not working well at all.

There is absolutely no option to cancel within the app. No phone number to call. The option is to get on an automated chat and convince it that you actually DO want to cancel, then you have to wait 20 minutes to talk to a person that takes 5 minutes per reply, and won’t just cancel the membership without 20 questions. I’ve got the screen shots of the chat but I guess I can’t upload. Freaking con artists

First update…I was able to see some workouts but not my check-ins or update my profile. Also, app doesn’t allow me to see trainers on Sunday if I clicked Browse all live workouts. After another update…after uninstalling and reinstalling and clearing Cache I could see my check-ins but still no workouts on Sunday. Another update… I could update my photo on profile, see trainers on Sunday in the “quick access workouts” but not if I clicked Browse all workouts. Now today 9-3-23 after another update … I uninstalled/ reinstalled cleared cache and now I can’t see any workouts.
