Found the app easy to use with plenty of sites to choose from.
When the app works, it’s useful. But on multiple occasions now, whilst travelling, it has either stopped working properly (showing only camper stops and no campsites) or logged us out then failed to accept our (correct) log-in details. This is infuriating when we are literally looking for somewhere to head to the next day, but we can no longer access the app. (Not just on one phone, it’s happening on both of them at the same time.) There are also campsites who offer ACSI discount that don’t even show up on the app! We found one last week by searching other park up / camping apps because there were no ACSI ones in the area, only to find when we got there that it was an ACSI site. So now I’m wondering how many others we’ve missed because they’re not on the app? Customer service department doesn’t seem to care - I’ve emailed 3 times regarding access problems, and haven’t even received a response (other than the automatic one). All very disappointing really.
This new version of the app mist have been driving people potty over the Easter period when it went down with no campsite icons showing. Unlike other apps, if this one goes down and members don’t have hard copy, they are well and truly rogered. It hasn’t been down recently, so only affected our planning. I still find it a bit unstable for selecting, but okay. I really like having the ACSI card on the app. It is also frustrating when you call in some sites and in top of the headline figure there are charges for electricity above a certain amount used, tourist tax (ok, that varies) and environmental tax. You can add 6 euros to the price. Otherwise, love ACSI
What a terrible user experience! I’ve already purchased the camping card books AND their club ID card. I don’t know why because their books are a nightmare to navigate and the ID isn’t accepted by sites - even when their office notices say it is. The fact you have to pay extra if you want to use their their on-line apps is robbery. I’m tempted to call their business model a scam but really profiteering describes them more adequately. Their process is so difficult to navigate I began to despair and thought I had wasted my money. I was going to use their three apps to ensure I had full options available but not when I have to pay for three sets of map/sites data (one set for each of their apps). Simply not good enough! Further, why do the apps ‘insist’ on using Apple Pay? Had to use a different on-line route to use my foreign currency card! My view is DO NOT use this organisation, use CamperContact or Park4Night instead. Their concept of Customer Care is lacking as well and their presence at the NEC Motorhome show is a joke - the rep didn’t have a clue what I was complaining about. I won’t be giving them my money next year.
Up till now i have really appreciated this app but the last two updates have stopped the sites being displayed and the latest one has deleted my card and i am unable to get it back
App making me delete Spain/Portugal area then re-download it every time I want to use it
We have found it a little frustrating when looking for sites that are open in January and February, I think it would be more helpful to have a list of the sites on a separate map so we can just look and book. I understand that not all sites that say they’ll be open may be! but your representatives can maybe contact and confirm with the sites in January and then put them on a separate list on a map - this would be very helpful. On a positive note, as for the two sites we have used this year and being ACSI members we have certainly saved much more than our subscription and will be looking forward to another out of season trip next year. Regards Dave Stitt from the United Kingdom.
As with so many Apps it’s been released with inadequate testing. Campers have been asking for a digital Card for years, and now we have one it doesn’t work properly. For a couple of weeks I could open my digital card, but now it always asks for more data despite my having filled in the information several times. Poor. Even worse now in Feb. Asks for more data but won’t save it. So I can’t get my card and I need to show it in a few days to get my discount. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect. Just fix the App, because I’m not going to waste time phoning as I doubt you can fix a bug over the phone.
Filled in my details three times and three times it’s failed. Doesn’t allow for house names of three words and still requires a house number, which I don’t have; very bloody frustrating. Especially as I need to use it in the next few days😡
