## Canopy Reviews in United States

### *---- "COMPLETE SCAM"
Their software takes over your devices and causes nothing but problems. It will not uninstall either so I’m having to factory reset my devices to get the software removed. I called their customer service for support and the agent hung up on me because he did not know how to resolve it.
-- Sejustus33, 2026-10-03

### ***-- "Great for blocking NSFW content, but there are issues"
This app has been extremely useful in blocking out NSFW and adult content. Despite this, I noticed it seems to block or slow down certain things even if there is absolutely no relation to this sort of content. For instance, when trying to browse and search Reddit, my searches almost always fail due to “poor internet”, which was NEVER an issue before setting up this software. Also, even when trying to allow access to certain websites and such, it still doesn’t seem to allow them. It’s frustrating because this app and subscription works so well for self discipline and staying away from degenerate videos/photos, but the fact my overall access to certain things and websites even if they are free from such smut is limited is such a massive inconvenience. I would love to give this app a 5 star rating, but until this issue is fixed and my access to certain websites, photos, forums, etc. is allowed or works again, I cannot leave such a high rating. Please work on fixing this as this app is great for keeping a healthy lifestyle, it’s just this one major issue makes me question if it’s even worth the annual fee.
-- VeryManlyManDude, 2026-10-03

### ***-- "Don’t use"
Shield is impossible to uninstall it’s like they do it on purpose so you can keep their products
-- tiagbjdcv, 2026-09-26

### *---- "Ain't workin’"
I'm trying to get my act cleaned up, but the app is not letting me do that!

### ***-- "App not updating"
I contacted support. There may have been miscommunication since issue is not resolved. I want my shopping apps blocked please.
-- LennieFxce, 2026-09-18

### *---- "Not worth it"
Definitely not worth it to purchase. I am sure there are other apps better.
-- JamesH309, 2026-09-18

### *---- "Lots of Issues"
This could be a great application if their designers would actually put it on their phones and live with it and fix all of the issues with other applications that must go through the stupid VPN they use!
I would love to keep using it but there are way too many issues that cause problems!
It seems to be 100% with the screwy VPN!!!!!
-- boooyeah, 2026-09-17

### **--- "Consumer beware"
The app does exactly what it says it does, very useful for blocking adult content. I tried it on both my PC and phone.

However, The app nearly bricked my computer to the point I could barely use it and noticeably slowed the performance of my phone. What made me decide to uninstall was the AI accountability partner feature. As soon I tried it, I started getting Israeli-based ads on my social media. Made me feel very uncomfortable about what exactly I had installed on my device.
-- Phil Frankly, 2026-09-12

### *---- "Random inconsistent charges"
Everything started off good, but for some reason they went from charging me $15.99 a month to $99.99 a month and support has been no help. Whatever you do, absolutely do not trust this company, they will steal from you.
-- Dltnbutler, 2026-09-12

### ***** "Best App"
This app has done exactly what I needed it to. It blocks out things that I don’t need/want to see. It gives me a piece of mind.
