Capture GO teaches it in about a minute. You play the capture game — Atari Go — the variant Go teachers have used for generations to start beginners. The rules fit on one line: surround a stone, lift it off the board, you win. Everything that makes Go beautiful is already here. Nothing that makes it intimidating is. WHAT'S INSIDE • An opponent that runs on your iPhone. Five levels, and they genuinely differ — level one plays like a real beginner, level five will punish a loose stone. No account, no connection, and no move ever leaves your device. • A tutorial that explains itself. It defines every word before it uses one, and you can step back whenever you like. • Shapes worth collecting. The tiger's mouth, the bamboo joint, the ladder — find the patterns Go players have been naming for centuries and fill an album with them. • Proverbs. Short, old, and more useful than they look. • Every game, replayable. Walk back through your own moves and see where it turned. • Nigiri — the traditional way of deciding who takes black — played out on the board. • Play to one capture, or three, or five. Longer goals turn a quick game into a real one. • A daily streak, if you want one. Play a game a day and it keeps count. MADE TO BE USABLE Every control is labelled for VoiceOver, the whole app scales with Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion is respected.
