O fundador da rádio Caraíba FM Valdir Barbosa Nascimento, natural de Campina Grande-PB, chegou a Goiás em 198 especificadamente em Goiânia onde trabalhou na rádio MIL FM com Jerônimo Rodrigues (um dos maiores comunicadores de Goiás) por 8 anos. Radialista desde 1982 com registro profissional nº 1.566 e um dos poucos comunicadores em Goiás que tem curso no ministério das relações exteriores (Itamaraty). Veio para Rubiataba em novembro de 1997 à convite para dirigir a rádio VALE FM sendo então o primeiro diretor. Mas o sonho era bem maior, juntamente com Dr. Vanderval José Ribeiro trouxe a querida Rádio Caraíba que foi fundada com o intuito de instruir, orientar e também de contribuir com a cultura e os anseios
da população.
