Very useful app, I’d love to give it a 5 but the downfall for me is the food library lacks food I buy in my local supermarkets (Ireland) for example Aldi, Lidl and some tesco own brand products are not yet available. Otherwise very happy with the app.

Fantastic idea for an app but unfortunately not a lot of foods or restaurants are on the app, I cancelled my subscription as I am living here in Ireland and could not find the foods that I tried to scan even though they are well known brands; which I found to be very disappointing, hopefully, the app will update with more being added shortly and I will happily pay

It’s handy for looking up generic weights for say potato or pasta but it has very limited treats on it which isn’t really good enough given it’s a paid service. My fitness pal is free and has heaps more on it.

This update to the new version it’s just horrible, for example 100 grams of tomato has no carbohydrates in this new version so it’s a lot of issues for me who I’m taking one unit of insulin for every 3 grams of carbs, so the previous version was more than perfect for me especially in counting the carbs to the last bit and beside that I already bought it when I start using it three years ago and now I had to subscribe again , so I won’t recommend anyone to use this carb and calls in the new version. Hopefully I will be able to downgrade to the previous version.

i’m a type 1 diabetic therefore i have to weigh and track my carbohydrate intake to ensure i can live a healthy and safe life my app is currently not working correctly and i can not search any foods or create my own food i have updated my phone and deleted the app multiple times and nothing has worked

Great app when I spend the time taking pictures of the food item and inserting the different nutritional content to help know the exact amount of carbs, fats, protein etc you are getting from foods.

The problem and it’s a big one is that I downloaded the UK foods and only one or two items came on the list so in effect I downloaded nothing. If I was able to access lists of food like it advertises with the nutritional breakdown I would be giving five stars. Hope this issue can be sorted.

Started using this app recently. Love it as show where I need to increase or decrease eating certain foods. Example: I don’t eat enough fibre. Bought the Calorie & Carb book too. Had one query so emailed them and they replied within a day. Great service to a great app!!!

I need this for my diabetes and it use to work perfectly on my other phone but it keeps crashing whenever I go to a picture of food and it's really annoying because it's such a useful app..

### **--- "Good functionality but very frustrating"
This is still a very useful app but there have been some dreadful changes in this version. 

Carbs & Cals has, in the past, been a great visual reference to identify the food you want to enter . Now there are hundreds of items that do not have any photo included . This really goes against the whole basis of what made Carbs & Cals great. It’s a real disappointment. 

The search functionality is painfully slow. The delay every time I type a letter in the search field frustrates me every time I use the app. It’s not quite unusable , but not far off. 

It’s still a great app for carb counting if you can get past those  what I’ve points.
