Carpet Bombing 3 Reviews

Fun, free

This is a legitimately free game that is a lot of fun. It side scrolls like Scramble or Sopwith. It’s worth saying that there’s a slight learning curve on the controls. I crashed the first ten times until I got the hang of it. It has a simple storyline in a campaign mode that’s just hard enough, and an endless mode so you can play like an arcade game. There are ads but only if you choose to watch for an extra life or a bonus. It took me about a week of casual play to get through the campaign but I’m still having fun with lots of replay potential.

Just as fun as the previous versions!

Very good game! The developers learned from past issues. No more bombing myself when toss bombing, no more aircraft collisions, making dogfighting more fun. Keeping the throttle but doing away with the fuel gauge! The village mission is reminiscent of the CB2 daily mission. I would like to see additional aircraft with different abilities. Like the F4u Corsair, a prop plane with hydra rockets like the Apache. Bring back the F-14 Tomcat!

The best airplanes are not in this game.

Every about the game is really fun, I wish the plane to plane combat was a bit better. A lot of the time I get kamikazed by enemy planes which is annoying. I mainly with that camera wasn’t so focused on the ground so I could look up better. Over got this for a road trip and I’m very happy

Controls are to sensitive to be enjoyable. Having fun shouldn’t be so hard. And losing your progress everytime your thumb slips and you crash into the ground is just annoying.

Seasoned CB player review

As someone who has played CB 1 and 2 extensively (CB 2 on level 4472/200+ hours), and playing CB 3 for about a week, I can say with upmost respect .. this game is lacking. I appreciate the controls and game play remained relatively the same as this is what made this fan base fall in love. Fuel and landing should he re-implemented as it created an element that surpassed all the other side scrolling flight sims. Stall warning is a cheap and easy tactic to not implement more of a dynamic environment and to simply “cap” the top, this needs to be removed as it feels unnecessarily restricting. I’d be more than happy to input a list of details to the developer as I know it’s a small team, but is crucial to get the best app and step up to inherit the same fan base as CB1 / 2. EDIT: developer comes in clutch! Friendly fire turned off for “save the civilian” from NPCs was an absolute must, still challenging but not impossible. The artwork is gorgeous in CB3, I meant to say the playable area is less with this game as compared to CB2, more ground than sky. I will continue supporting your team regardless as this game holds a place near and dear to me, and please leave an email as I’d love to reach out for some more insights!

Needs updates

Is there an issue, or am I missing something? I guess I’ll delete the game. Good concept. Would need new things on a regular basis. Not happening here.
