Furnace percent status
The Furnace status percentage isn’t working. The fan shows on but the furnace shows off. I know it’s running and can see the percentage on my thermostat. This worked on the app before.

I like the new look. But when returning to the app. It is totally unresponsive. It then requires a force quit and a relaunch to start working again. Pro tip… beta this on a real phone, and actually use the app for yourself.
This new app is very similar to the old, including all the same bugs! There are no new features other than requiring authentication every time I launch the app. I don’t really care about a shiny new UI. I want to be able to add temp sensors, I want to be able to know what the temperature is set to when I open the app instead of waiting 60 seconds for it to refresh, I want to be able to have it set to one temperature based on different sensors throughout the day.
I was expecting this new SmartHome app to provide the same or more information than the previous Carrier Home app, such as the weather forecast, the current operation mode (e.g., gas heating or cooling status), and more. There’s no doubt that Carrier can do better, and I look forward to seeing it!
I downloaded this app today, and WOW!! The app is very intuitive and easy to use!
Same as the old app. Open app. Works great. Switch to another app. Switch back to the Carrier Smart Home and bazzzinga, no response. FROZEN. You have to force quit the app and open it again. Tiresome. Gave it 2 stars because the new app ‘looks fresh’. Now, if it could just control my HVAC systems without freezing, that would be really nice.
Classic example of corporate innovation; shiny new app that does basically nothing new. I would much rather Carrier spent their time and resources on integration with Apple or Google home. I don’t want yet another app that controls just one thing, I want to be able to control all my things from just one app! Aside from that, seems to work just fine.
The only “upgrade” is the change in interface. The status of the system is still delayed when compared to what the actual thermostat indicates. Gone is the ability to set the fan function in comfort profiles. I have a heat pump and natural gas, the status of the old app would indicate which mode the thermostat was operating in, the new app shows no such unless you actually drill into the settings and system status. Such a simple thing that should be indicated just as it was in the old app. I think I paid close to $1,000 for the thermostat. While I love the communicating aspect of the system and wouldn’t trade it for a lesser thermostat, it’s still a bit mind boggling that the cheap Honeywell from Home Depot has a better app experience than this system. The old app was terrible and somehow this one is even worse.
Love the new UX. It’s almost industry leading, Nest & Ecobee are a little more intuitive. I really hope HomeKit integration is on the product roadmap.
1.1.3 notifications still don’t work nor does operating status. AQI is still wrong. Junk Latest release still not showing proper operating status. Wall controller (version c) shows furnace at 40% with fan on. App shows fan on and furnace OFF AQI index is not associated with my home. It is wrong. Come on @carrier do better Updated 1/8 - so received response from @resdigital indicating they will pass my information “across”. Guess I am confused, in my eyes there is a single responsible party @carrier. I could care less who at carrier needs to fix. It needs to be fixed. Seems like the left has no clue what the right is doing. Just read your reviews, they all say the same thing. Own your issues and fix it. So this app is another failure like the Bryant and Carrier Home app. There is nothing smart about it. Same bugs as with the above apps. My heating system is running (it’s 15F outside) app shows heating is off. The app and the wall controller not in sync. I tried changing the temp on the app. Never changed the wall controller. Yes wall controller is on line and connected to servers. I made a change at the wall controller and heat came on. Never received a notification (yes appropriate notifications are on). Air quality shows correct address however the index score is not for my location. The above is just in 10 minutes of testing. Please please get a team that knows how to dev apps. This is a joke. Why another new app when the other still don’t work. I have submitted and called dozens of times and have been told we know we are working on it. This is not working on it. Has been nearly 2 years.
