Premium provides additional features like weather data sources, notifications, customization, widgets, and Apple Watch complications.

Premium Ultra includes all the features of Premium, plus rain, lightning, and storm cell notifications (where available), a weather maps widget, and quick data source switching.

Premium Family includes all the features of Premium Ultra, with the added benefit of being shareable with up to five family members via Apple’s Family Sharing service.

Great UI but weather forecast a lot less accurate than before

I love the app but in recent versions, I noticed that the weather forecast source got changed. Now it’s way less accurate than before. The standard weather app is more accurate. Because of this, I’ve been using this app less and less.

Best weather app I’ve seen

Where I live, the weather can change quickly. This app seems to be mostly accurate and the option to change the data source is pretty great! One thing I was not expecting was the fact that lightning strikes are shown on my Apple Watch almost immediately after they happen. Highly customizable and easy to use!

Really enjoying this app.

Tried to give feedback but could not find a link. Tried to send a bug report but mail not installed. On the app for today I clicked on hourly forecast precip chance and there was a percentage for every hour except the one hour it said that it was going to rain had zero.

Incredible resource and hilarious at the same time. I love that I get actual precipitation amounts (hugely useful for managing our veggies!!), charts of when everything is coming, and the humour entices me to check the weather extra often. Several friends have instantly wanted this after seeing it. Kudos to the developer!!

no flood alerts for pakistan (carrot weather is useless for those not living in the west)

i’ve been using carrot weather for about five years now, and while i was aware the weather forecast for my country, pakistan, wasn’t very accurate— i even complained once (i was told to buy a premier membership for better source)— but right now my country is going through unimaginable rain, and floods, and not once did the app alert me about heavy rains, or a flood alert in my area. i once randomly checked the weather of a western city during a heat wave, and the level of information given for that area was impressive. i paid the same for this app as someone who lives in the usa but somehow i’m not worthy of being provided the same information because i happen to live in an underdeveloped country, and must pay more for even basic weather alerts. edit: 2 years later, we are going through an unprecedented heatwave (for the month of may), and again carrot gives me no additional information about it. meanwhile if you live in toronto, and the weather is slightly above 25 degree celsius, there is an active warning that you‘ll get burnt alive.
