## Castlerama Description
Castlerama takes you on a photorealistic walk through a beautiful, detailed and accurately lit 3D setting. Merging real and imaginary elements, it draws inspiration from the charming town of Assisi, in Italy. You are left to find your own way around by touch and sight alone. Exploring a whole world becomes a matter of lifting your fingers.

Our goal? To fool your eyes and brain considering it all real. When you go back with your memory to the day you first opened this Mentalbox, you will think it was you on the cobblestone, you in the alleys, you in the catacombs...

While developing Castlerama, we had to face the fact that newer devices such as iPhone4s and iPad2s are very different from their predecessors, iPhone3GSs and iPads, in that the former have twice as much memory. In order to have the app run on all devices, we had to compromise quite a bit, pushing the old devices to their limits (risking crash if other applications are left running) while keeping the new devices well behind their capabilities.

Powered by Unreal Engine.

## Castlerama Reviews in Canada

### ****- "Great graphics"
Could use more rooms but for what it is, it's almost therapeutic to run through the rooms especially late at night in low light. Just needs more to it.

### **--- "Crashes"
Needs an update, it keeps crashing. I can barely get past the title screen, even when I shut off anything running in the background.
Other than that, from what I've seen, this is quite a nice picturesque castle tour.

### ***-- "Good exploration app"
Considering what it is trying to achieve, it does a pretty good job. Kudos on the art assets, and getting the product together. Playing on an ipad1, there is minimal lag. The lighting is quite poor and too dark in some areas, combined with some slow movement/rotation controls, makes navigating through it pretty difficult. On the plus side, the developers took the time and effort to integrate reflections on the marble floor in the church, mega props for that. The animated trees and cows are also a great addition. As for including credits within the level, I'm all for it, it doesn't deter from the gameplay, and is efficient. So far, it's just a single play through for me.
