The Cities and Knights expansion introduces various new gameplay mechanics that add even more variety to Catan. Invest new trade goods in city improvements to build one of the three metropolises of Catan – but beware of the barbarians attracted by Catan’s new wealth! You’ll need your best knights to fend them off! C&K contains a short campaign and 7 challenging maps.
Exciting adventures await you in the two new scenarios "Enchanted Land" and "The Great Canal". Vanquish dragons and bag their treasures or build a canal to help barren grain fields bloom once more.

Question: An expansion seems gone after an update or reinstallation of Catan or after restoring the device?
Answer: Don’t worry! Your initial purchase is already saved in your iTunes account. You can restore your InApp purchases by selecting the restore-option in the Catan IAP menu.
Question: I lost my campaign progress after reinstalling, updating or restoring my device. Is there any way to restore it?
Answer: When saved games can’t be automatically restored, we’ve integrated a cheat code: In the campaign mode go to select player and enter „CatanWarp*“ (* = 1–15) as your player name and confirm. Exit the game via the home button and restart it. The campaign can now be continued from the specified level number (1–15). Levels up to the specified number will be unlocked in the custom game mode as well.
Question: Are dice rolls really random?
Answer: Of course! All dice rolls are 100% random and not modified in any way. We’re avid Catan players ourselves. We’ve played the iOS version hundreds of times while developing the program. There have been times when we won and lost a few games in a row because of the dice - just like when playing the board game!

Developer is terrible
First thing this game pays no attention to odds of a number being rolled. Normally, mid-range numbers are the best, for example 6 and 8. This developer has some lunatic system where 12 & 2 will be rolled frequently if the AI needs those resources, and if you are on 6 & 8 those numbers become infrequent. 7s will be rolled several times in a row to beat you down if you are ahead. I have played many games where I’m ahead and the next 3 rolls are 7, and on top of that, 3 robber cards get played on you. You literally get beaten to a pulp and are helpless. Now one might argue that it is a good idea to buy development cards, except the game cheats here to. I’ve played games where by turn 3 or 4, each of the AI players have multiple dev cards, when a resource used to buy them has only been rolled maybe once up to that point, for example sheep. I just finished a game where one of the AI players had pretty bad board position with no stone and a “3” grain. They had 3 cities and what seemed to be a constant supply of dev cards. They also had no ports, so it’s very fishy and didn’t seem possible. Basically the developer ignores dice odds and just cheats when they need to bash you out of the lead. Otherwise it not a bad game.
Laziest developers ever
Unfair to the great board game. Please fix the ai. Please fix the slow game mode. Please fix the game kicking you out all the time. Just stop being lazy and do smth
Crashing constantly on iPad
I really like this game. Graphics are good, game play is fun (although I think the dice rolls are not necessarily random); HOWEVER, for the past few weeks, the game is crashing constantly! When I restart, I can “continue game” but it often crashes immediately again. That gets really annoying.
Awesome with a caveat
I’ve had this game forever and while I love it to death, the frequent app-failures for no discernable reason are irritating. Otherwise: love it.

The app doesn’t have many bells and whistles but! That being said. A true Catan experience. A chance to play the expansions for the first time. Or hone your process in the app to refine strategy for table top play. CITIES AND KNIGHTS!!!! GAME. CHANGER. If you’ve played Catan before and found it maybe a little too straight forward. Cities and Knights Expac will SET YOU FREE! SO. GOOD! Okay. Enjoy some play. Wall against the robber and band together to drive away barbarian interlopers! May the island of Catan BE YOURS!
Great Game, Recoverable crashes on IPhone 8
Highly recommend. Very enjoyable with lots of expansions for not much money. Only problem is that on my IPhone 8 it has started to crash periodically during the last few years. But all you have to do is open the app again and Continue Game to get right back to where you left off.

Date night!
We love playing this game when sitting at a restaurant waiting for a table. Or in bed before we go to sleep.
Decent when working
Crashes or not working often. Buy from another vender. Original game is good but crashes often.
