Catawiki FAQ
Is Catawiki free?
Yes, Catawiki is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Catawiki legit?
⚠️ The Catawiki app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Impossible to do those things:
Confirm the phone number. The confirmation code never arrived!
Confirm e-mail- it leads to page that just says forbiden.
And accept your terms of use didnt work neither in website or app, always said : not available, try again later.
Its getting me on my nerves, I just spent way too much time with trying to set it up.
So frustrating!
Please fix this!!
To many secrets
Most of the items have set minimum price tag they would sell for. But the amount is secret. So if the items looks cheep, you bid, you usually realise that the seller is not will to sell for that price. And you are not allowed to know what is the amount he is actually willing to sell for.
Whats the point of starting from 1€ bid?? If minimum is over 300..
Also you cannot contact the seller for more information or shipment arrangements before you win. Which make the items that has shipping cost 1200€ impossible to buy..

Great articals, Interesting prices. Just possibilities of search are a bit limited
Only use if nothing else available
Be careful !
Customer service, when something goes wrong (which it often does), is rude, uninformed, late to reply and to address the issues. They take a huge percentage of buyers and sellers money for a bad service. You can never be sure about the quality of the items - for example jewelry - you will find the SAME SELLERS on EBay selling the SAME items for far far less than the Catawiki estimate. Refunds ( when things go wrong) are done through a third party company that collects and sells your data, and charges you an additional fee. Having bought several gems from Israel , I found them to be cracked, and seen their photos retouched or taken in such a way that the imperfections were not visible until I saw the actual gems and jewelry. Refunds take weeks to months and I have still lost the money spent on import tax and duties - Catawiki refused to help. Be careful how you click to bid because the site makes it easy to make a mistake and click on the minimum reserve bid rather than the maximum bid you are prepared to make. Do not trust the “expert” opinions! When selling a set or collection they may also decide to separate the items so they make more profit from you, and do not understand the value of keeping all the set together. In several years of using this awful platform, I only use it to follow trends in my particular field and make sporadic purchases when nothing else is available. You can ALWAYS find the same items far cheaply by buying direct and through other auction sites. Be careful!
Dont loose money!
They selling but not sending goods. Be carefull.

Interesting app with idiotic system
I had to delete this app as the bidding system is really very idiotic and consumes a lot of your time. Even if you have the highest bid, you will not win an auction as you did probably reach minimum (reserve) price. Unfortunatelly the minimum price is not known (it is known only to Catawiki and an owner of an item), so it could happen that you will spend a lot of your time bidding with other losers and at the end knowbody will reach “secret” minimum price- and it means an item is not sold to anybody. I also have not found how to sort items by time:-( Fot those who can waste their time: Check delivery costs as it could be higher than a bidding price! Remember the provision fee for Catawiki (10%) that you have to pay at the end in case you will win an auction....
Truffatori
