Improvements all round. ASP coming up. Who is “Call Sign Pizza” please? You high schools are driving me insane.
Greatest training app available. Although it does not reveal the contents of the ASP, it helped sharpened my mental maths, reflexes and multi-tasking skills. Received first preference offer - credits to this app!
I took and passed my CBAT for pilot yesterday, and this app helped a lot. The tests which are most accurate is the mental arithmetic, STD, spatial awareness, the 2nd memory game, shadowing and instrument comprehension. I can’t recommend practising these enough. Many people say you can’t prepare for CBAT, this app proves them wrong. Regarding other reviews, no there isn’t every test, and the tests on here aren’t all identical, but it does get your brain use to the way of thinking that’s required.
I’m 15 and Just brought this game a few days ago to prepare for my future job in the RAF. I’m confused on how the align the dot on the coordination thing. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. another minus is that it doesn’t tell you if your right or wrong when your completing the questions which is bad for me but i guess for testing it’s good. Besides that it’s such a good way to practise
I took my CBAT last week and i found that none of the tests other than memory and basic arithmetic were identical on the app or the test. The instrument comprehension test included banking degrees, as well as turns (sharp or balanced), both of which the app doesn’t include, the geographical awareness questions in the app are also very poor in challenge compared to the test. in the test you were told to make a map in your head of 4-8 locations including distance and direction between then, whereas in the app you’re only given three locations with a 50/50 west or east answer. The multitasking segment in the app is also lacking as in the test you were given 2-4 call signs and like simon says you could only do tasks if told them, you had to press a button when a beep came on within 3 seconds, you had to remember a string of 6/7 digit numbers, you also had to go through specific squares and circles using the joystick avoiding the walls of the tunnel, all while white noise was playing in the background. I gave this app two stars because it has helped a tiny bit but other than that i wouldn’t recommend downloading, no hate to the development team but the rest of the people doing CBAT on the day thought the same. Good luck if you’re taking the CBAT, and remember to take your time.
I’m due to take my CBAT for an RAF officer and I fee a lot more confident after using this. Although not every test is on the app (I think for practical reason), the app is great for getting to grips with what looked complicated at first. There is an issue I’ve run into though over the past few times of using it. For the “align the dot” test i found that after a few rounds the dot will not react to my inputs, I know it’s based off the iphones motion sensors; don’t quote me on that though, and I found that after a few rounds the dot will not even rezct to my movements with the phone. Not sure if it’s on my end, probably is, but thought I’d mention it. Great app though nonetheless and well worth it for anyone doing the CBAT.
Great app to gain somewhat of an understanding of what’s in cbat. Helped me a lot , cbat will use the whats in the app but to a harder extent.
This is a brilliant app to help show you the basic demands of the CBAT tests, especially the arithmetic ones but don’t be fooled into thinking that these tests will fully prepare you because they don’t. Unfortunately this app is not updated enough to provide factual accounts of what to expect and so only prepares you for basic and predictable tests.
FATS soon so this app definitely preparing me, only wish I start using it earlier. Worth every penny and highly recommend if you attending aircrew exams.
If you going for any of the armed forces and are required to sit a CBAT exam, I can not recommend a better app. Full stop. Polite Requests, Score graphs- Having some way of graphing your scores over time would be amazing, currently I have an idea of where I started and where I’m currently at....But having an average score for each of the test types over time would be so insightful. Messaging? (Maybe)- Not sure how this would be implemented, but being able to chat to other players and see what there doing to improve would be interesting. Maybe a board or something with pre-set topics. Cheats- There are certain aliases on this game that get scores the seem near impossible. For example I’ve gotten to the point of almost instantly solving the arithmetic questions as soon as I read them (plus maybe an extra second for the hard occasional question) and I’ll achieve a score of about 30+. However when I go to high scores there are people getting nearly two and a half times my score in the same time. Maybe I’m an extremely slow reader, but without any way to message and see what I’m doing differently I can’t find out. I know there’s an report button, but I’m hesitant to use it since they may just be really really fast. Like I said..... I could be an extraordinary slow reader (doubtful though) However those are just requests! I want to reiterate how fantastic this app is, and show credit to the developers who have taken the time to create such a useful tool. Honestly you could charge £50 and I’d still buy it. Take a bow
