CCAS operiert im unteren Luftraum, abhängig vom Gelände, vom Boden bis zu einer Höhe von 5.000 Fuß über Grund (AGL). - Sicherheit ohne Barrieren - Wir sind der festen Überzeugung, dass Sicherheit in der allgemeinen Luftfahrt keine Frage der Kosten sein sollte. Das CCAS-Netzwerk ist vollständig kostenlos, wird durch Spenden finanziert und ist so gestaltet, dass es für alle zugänglich ist. Mit einem Fokus auf Funktionalität statt "Schnickschnack" ermöglicht es Freizeitpiloten, von einem zuverlässigen, interoperablen Netzwerk für Kollisionswarnungen zu profitieren. Unsere Mission ist einfach: *"sehen, GESEHEN werden und ausweichen."* - Wie es funktioniert - Jeder CCAS-Client sendet periodisch seine eigene Position an das CCAS-Netzwerk. Im Gegenzug übertragen die CCAS-Server alle relevanten Verkehrsdaten rund um diese Position zurück an den Client. Durch die Nutzung von standardisierten TCP-Verbindungen in Kombination mit einem hochoptimierten Protokoll geschieht dies nahezu in Echtzeit. Neben anderen CCAS-Nutzern senden die Server auch Verkehrsinformationen aus anderen Quellen wie ADS-B sowie OGN/FLARM, um maximale Verkehrsinformationen zu gewährleisten. CCAS kann problemlos mit Navigations-Apps (z. B. SkyDemon, ForeFlight, VFRnav, ...) verbunden werden. Das bedeutet, dass der Verkehr direkt auf der Moving Map angezeigt wird. Verkehrsdaten werden über GDL90 übertragen. Darüber hinaus kann CCAS als Proxy für andere Datenquellen wie Stratux, FLARM oder ADS-B-Empfänger genutzt werden. - Wie man es nutzt - Um CCAS zu nutzen und die Sicherheit in der Luft zu erhöhen, laden Sie einfach die offizielle CCAS-Client-App herunter. Sie ist übrigens völlig kostenlos! Wichtiger Hinweis zum Datenschutz: Keine Registrierung erforderlich. Beim ersten Start der App wird eine zufällige ID auf dem Gerät generiert. Jede Positionsnachricht wird verschlüsselt und nur mit anderen CCAS-Nutzern in unmittelbarer Nähe geteilt. Es wird kein Flugverlauf gespeichert. - Wie man beiträgt - Nutzen Sie einfach den Client.
