I appreciate how Easy Cerebral makes it to schedule & contact their personel. I like that I can sign on and reschedule when I need to & if I need to sign on and just get something out I can write it & my care team will see it & know what’s going on. It just helps.

I can’t even get past the consent screen. Anyone else having this problem?

I love how easy it is to interact with my therapist and prescriber. I work for a job that can randomly call me in, but this app makes it easy to reschedule and fit me in for another appointment. I have the best therapist and have been 100% better with my anxiety since I started two and a half years ago.

Used the service for about a year as I have stuff I need help with. Was great until I sought Medicaid and they removed me from coverage five days before my coverage ended via billing period. Allegedly they don’t accept it for coverage and “didn’t want to cause eligibility issues.” My Medicaid had not started yet and wouldn’t for another several days still. They cancelled all existing Rx so no refills even though I technically still should have had the coverage. I needed my rx and I could t get what I needed immediately. For a company that deals with mental health, they did not consider that there would be an issue with how they did things. A person going cold turkey on anti depressants? Really? Everyone is just a subscription to them. They don’t care. Wrote an email to give them feedback and they tried to make it right by giving me access for the five days I should have. Told them not to even bother as I sought emergency care the day my Medicaid coverage began. I absolutely do not recommend this service to anyone. Look elsewhere.

Cerebral doesn’t care about mental health - they care about making profits at the expense of patients. They just got sued in NY for illegal practices. AVOID THIS APP AT ALL COSTS.

They do not care about their customers! Everything is robotic and cold. Go to a regular doctor and pay less. It’s $80ish dollars per month - I bet your real doctor will be that or less, every three months. Also, my care counselor quit and they never assigned me a new one. So much lack of attention.

Legit have to pay them before you can even answer any questions or chat with someone about your options. Minimum $95 just to begin using the app. Deleting this app immediately and sourcing legitimate help from another platform.

I have tried cerebral twice. Two different therapists. While the first one was good, I could never get enough privacy and focus on the things I needed to talk about. The second time I tried cerebral I had more privacy, but couldn’t get the old therapist I had. I had two choices. The one I chose ended up being terrible. She was distracted, unprofessional, ran late to our meetings, and messed up two of our appointments, she even changed an appointment day and time without even asking me first. She talked about herself a lot! Rather than allowing me to take reigns on what I needed to talk about, she would go off on tangents and expect me to learn from HER experiences. They wouldn’t give me a refund despite all the stress and disappointment it caused me.

I used this service from January until May of last year and had a not great experience. Not only was it $100/month (so $100 for literally just one visit which was fine since I didn’t have health insurance at the time and had just moved to a new state) but the psychiatrists I had were unprofessional. One of them literally came to the video call wearing a bonnet and pajamas and overall just didn’t care. Upped the dosage in my medicine and then left. The next psychiatrist I had to replace the one before (because Cerebral sent me a message saying the one I had been seeing was no longer employed there) was more professional but didn’t ask about really anything and just kept the medication the same. In May, I ended up trying to take my own life and because I was in the hospital, I was charged $100 for the subscription. At the time, I didn’t want to fight the charge because I was mentally exhausted but I got an ad for this company recently and that made me want to share my experience. Plus, I’d really appreciate my $100 back for when I wasn’t even using the service anymore.

My doctor was great and I enjoyed speaking with her. That is the only positive thing I have to say about Cerebral. I was on the same medication for years and was then told they would not prescribe my medication to me any longer, not to mention all of the pharmacies where I live (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.) refused to fill any of their prescriptions. My absolute biggest issue though was the therapists. I only spoke to the same therapist a short time. And all she ever talked about was self-care and she never veered out of that lane no matter what I was trying to talk about. After a few months with her, it was a constant revolving door, and I never saw the same therapist more than once. Which was honestly not too bad because they were all terrible. My absolute favorite (sarcasm!) was the one I mistakenly thought was supposed to be some type of a professional. She literally told me that I was full of demons and I needed Jesus. Then continued to tell me God was going to get me through and save me from all the demons inside me. This lovely conversation occurred immediately after she had asked about my religious preferences and she clearly understood that I am an atheist. She really affected my mental health and made me completely stop dealing with Cerebral. She actually affected me so much, I have yet to return to any type of doctor about my mental health, and have just been untreated, to the detriment of my own life. So basically I’m going to recommend to everyone to not ever use this app. Extremely unprofessional!!
