For now it recognises more than 900 types of mushrooms.

PRICE AND TERMS:

The app does not require you to pay, but to be able to synchronise your projects on other devices, the app offers a premium subscription option $4.99 (USD) for a year.
This price apply to United States residents. Prices may vary in other countries respecting your local currency exchange rate.
Your subscription will be charged to your iTunes account. At the end of the term, unless auto-renewables subscriptions are disabled, your subscription will automatically renew in your iTunes account.
You will be charged for the regular price of your subscription within 24 hours prior to the end of the current term.
You can turn off automatic renewal in your iTunes account settings at any time, but you must do so at least 24 hours before the end of the current term.
Refunds will not be provided for the unused portion of any term.

Well done app 👍🏻

I took 3 pictures of a mushroom, which really helped to select the right one in the app. Turned out to be the third suggestion, but that made me feel like a bit more of a puzzle than getting a easy hit (was quite a hard one I think, 1st and 2nd suggestion were sensible). Nice and well thought out interface 👍🏻

Pretty good! (And better than the competitors)

This is a pretty good mushroom identifier. What is important is that it gives a lot of possible guesses alongside its top guess. You will quickly discover that some of the “likely suspects” are not for eating... What sets it apart from the others, is that it asks for *two* pictures, so you can give it both the view from above and the view from below. It also asks two other wise questions (gills/pores/other) and ring around stem (yes/no). My main complaint is that it several times identified mushrooms I find in the woods of Northern Europe as mushrooms from the forests of Oregon or California which are *not* found in Europe. Doesn’t it know where I am? Something for the future: in practice, I find smell and taste incredibly important, and locale (local ecosystem) too. In the meantime, it should tell the user to check those characteristics.

Surprisingly Accurate

This is a great app, currently in Beta apparently and amazing already! Thanks I just love all things mushrooms 🕺
