## Cheshire West and Chester Description
The Cheshire West and Chester app provides an easy way to report faults and issues on the highways, streets and green spaces across the borough. It also provides quick and easy links to other Council service areas such as waste and council tax.

From street lights not working and blocked grids to fly tipping and graffiti, help us to keep the streets, roads and parks of our borough clean, tidy and safe.

Log a report in four easy steps.

     1. Pinpoint the location on the map

     2. Take a photo of the fault

     3. Select a category and provide more information

     4. Submit

Your report will be immediately sent to the relevant service to deal with. We will keep you updated on progress.

Using the app, you can also set up a Direct Debit to make paying your council tax simpler, report a missed bin collection, request a bulky item to be collected and much more…

## Cheshire West and Chester Reviews in United Kingdom

### *---- "App not working"
Tried reporting a number of items over past few weeks non have been successful due to app not working, when reporting lights app won’t open lighting map unless app is able to add essential data to be downloaded but nothing can be done to resolve this issue, even calling CwCc highways to report issue with app they say they are unaware of any issues, app needs fixing or updates as it’s been over 12 months since previous update.
-- StevieukT, 2026-03-18

### **--- "Very buggy"
Each time I try and report something the app crashes or appears to as it jus closes instantly after selecting a photo to attach. Tried three times now to report a broken street light and nothing has gone through. No email or item in the report log. I suppose it’s one way to avoid dealing with anything. Just say it wasn’t reported…

### **--- "Very buggy!"
There’s no background app refresh so one has to keep the app open otherwise the next time you open the app, say in a few weeks time, it’ll send the report you submitted weeks ago with todays date. This has prompted CWAC to phone me a few times because they already resolved the issue and they thought the issue had reoccurred, in that particular case criminal damage!

Also on the report log, previously when I clicked the check status button, it would open the CWAC website and autofill the reference number, but now it doesn’t do that anymore and you can’t copy the reference number from within the app when you do a tap and hold over the reference number!

Finally in the settings, the default map type box is always blank, even when changing it to something else and tapping update.

### ***-- "Hit and miss"
This app overall is ok. But sometimes you report something and it takes 10 mins to acknowledge it and give a ref number. By which time you’ve done 2/3 other reports thinking it’s not worked! Just not responsive and sometimes only allows 1 picture.
-- themrsdunning, 2024-07-18

### ****- "Seems to work now"
Glad it doesn’t crash any more
-- clanger9, 2023-03-26

### *---- "Impossible to submit a report"
Buttons are blacked out so you have no idea what you’re pressing.

Also it keeps reverting back to the Home Screen.
-- thebaker89, 2022-10-17

### ****- "Need a way to cancel tickets logged"
v4.6 fixes the ticket logging issue.
Need a way to cancel tickets, the v4.6 upgrade logged my two tickets from over a week ago, which have already been resolved.
-- Noided, 2022-07-17

### *---- "Latest version is Buggy"
Latest version (16th June 22) is full of bugs. Text is missing on the action buttons.
-- Wally of Orange, 2022-06-20

### ****- "Issue new fixed previous case:!Report it function crashes App"
Now fixed seems to work OK.

On first use of Report It button app asks for settings to be changed to allow access to GPS. But the option does not work. Thereafter the app crashes each time the Report It button is pressed.
-- DCSE, 2021-03-23

### *---- "Waste of time"
Reported 3 incidents of fly tipping, doesnt appear to have been reviewed even after 10 days!
