But struggling to identify the squares, remembering sequences and follow chess notations? Well, you just landed on the perfect app! This training app is designed to dramatically uplift your mastery over chess squares. There are 5 training sessions. A small dose of regular practice will make you: 1. Spot a square as soon as you hear or see its coordinate 2. Translate a sequence of moves into their notation at ease 3. Immediately identify the color of a square 4. Stay oriented regardless of you facing white or black 5. Follow along with chess tutorials, books or any discussion without a board 6. Massively speedup your thought process on any calculation 7. Finally, start playing blind chess! Don't be surprised if you see a sudden surge of rating simply increasing your strength on square reading. The free version is already good enough to cause a major spike in your chess career. However, a one time purchase will unlock the full version which includes: - Extended time controls - Untimed practice mode - Milestones and achievements - Board assistance during training - And a complete visualization of your records There will be no ads, neither in the full version nor in the free one. Just a beautiful and satisfyingly addictive way to your square mastery. Caution: If you are rated below 1500, this app is probably not gonna be as useful for you, and tactics training is something you should prioritize. ## Chess Notation Trainer Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/56/5c/cd/565ccd76-fbf2-9225-5234-80ef8ef5c045/a028d70c-8f12-4fc1-b383-c81a614c0d0a_2.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/a8/81/de/a881de97-fcb6-9de9-a980-9343e58bb702/a54c7d35-07f4-4cb6-a962-35d416d84f46_3.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/0c/ad/49/0cad49e9-509b-359a-a31d-b6c8b6eccd58/56abdb64-a704-4b8f-a3b8-4d0d0909c256_4.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d9/73/39/d9733924-7262-e931-c85b-28e1eec28ded/38ac9f9f-7f32-4e42-b33d-17b0445433fd_7.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/f3/97/bd/f397bd5f-3a84-6b66-6321-848ee601029e/401fef3f-26df-46bf-aa8e-2324ccc903e4_8.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/83/dd/75/83dd7572-1a96-9d7b-6b18-50efa587462a/db16fff0-a383-4ee7-867b-f78d891de0a7_Simulator_Screenshot_-_iPhone_SE__U00283rd_generation_U0029_-_2024-02-15_at_22.19.26.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/57/5b/a2/575ba273-4b5f-d02c-8f4a-515ce39979bc/8693f57d-1fdc-41d3-b4d6-df5a50d702cc_10.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/d0/01/73/d00173ea-332e-780e-ba2f-aa1d0c5b794e/fd7f7497-f33a-4012-89b3-a0352a2d8ab1_9.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 9](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/e3/39/7b/e3397b43-948a-778b-5c5e-e7fe7b6560e0/b348a330-3ac8-4daf-9224-86b2f2cab3d3_Simulator_Screenshot_-_iPhone_SE__U00283rd_generation_U0029_-_2024-02-15_at_22.19.07.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 10](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/24/2e/d9/242ed99e-23fb-d310-56af-39d03f136661/538a02e2-4701-4940-9b12-4d1d396ea01f_Simulator_Screenshot_-_iPhone_SE__U00283rd_generation_U0029_-_2024-02-15_at_22.18.41.png/1242x2208.png) ## Chess Notation Trainer Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 14 (78%) - 4 stars: 1 (6%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 2 (11%) - 1 stars: 1 (6%) ## Chess Notation Trainer Reviews in United States ### ***** "Had to go out of my way to write one" Fantastic stuff! This is the epitome of what I was looking for. I wanted to train my vision and nothing else could have done it better. Love it!!! -- Zuxo Powell, 2024-09-04 ### ***** "$4.99 for this excellent trainer!!" Absooolutely. You deserve this $4.99 and I gladly paid it. ⭐️ Love the different training modes, particularly the one where it will highlight a square, and you have type in the notation. ⭐️ Excellent animation graphics ⭐️ Fantastic UI -- Lost in Tactics, 2024-07-12 ### ***** "It’s Fun" Nice app. Impressive attention details. But doesn’t solve the problem with piece movements. Just identifying squares or knowing the colors ain’t gonna get you the skills to move a piece across the board. But, I must say, my square recognizing ability is getting better. And it’s fun! -- sba033, 2024-02-27 ### ***** "Great for all players" Really helpful chess app for all levels for learning and memorizing the squares of the chess board. I am rated 1900 and this app is great for improving my memory and attention. -- bellagiohenrold, 2024-02-05 ### ***** "Much needed app" Always had trouble following chess games with notations. Needed something like this to practice the notations. Very unique app. Thanks to the developers. -- sam dashu, 2024-02-04 [View all Chess Notation Trainer reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Chess Notation Trainer In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Full Version | $4.99 | ## Apps Similar to Chess Notation Trainer -
