Chess.com is an amazing app, free, and even gives you lessons! You can play bots, play other people around the world, and the app gives you a player your level! The best chess app ever!
Forum controls could be improved
On forums, particularly on off topic people on web can do so much more stuff on it
Fake player ratings
Lost 100% of all my matches as a “new player with zero experience” and also intermediate matches. Given that I play against friends and family this can’t be accurate. Therefore the app is not fun as it doesn’t do enough to promote equal gameplay.

This app ruined my life. I have played more than 1000 games of chess in less than a year. I am unironically having dreams about chess. 10/10, would not recommend if you value your sanity, would recommend if you don’t (like me)
Broken beyond belief when offline - otherwise great
Takes an age to get off splash screen. Half loads puzzles and lessons and freezes with empty board. Dev response includes link to /support that doesn’t work. Just make it work offline! When online this is a great app, I would love to update this review again with a working offline mode. No one cares how much space it takes just make the puzzles and lessons and bots work offline and stop the splash screen taking 60 seconds to open the menu screen!
