Chess Studio is the first and only application for iPhone and iPad able to manage chess databases and games in PGN format in a complete and efficient way.

Chess Studio is an application designed and built for those players who really want to deepen their knowledge in the field of chess, studying chess regularly and participate in tournaments.

Chess Studio allows you to:

• Read database and games in PGN format  (also with extended notation of moves).
• Create, delete and modify folders and databases.
• View games with annotations and textual comments and keep track of the displayed games.
• Use a double chessboard on the same screen for better game analysis. 
• Visualize moves and variants in compact mode or indented mode.
• Modify existing games with move annotation and textual comments.
• Insert new games and positions.
• Insert, replay and analyze games in Chess 960 mode.
• Insert moves with annotations and textual comments.
• Insert variation, subvariations etc.
• Insert and visualize graphical annotation (colored arrows and highlighted squares).
• Share Databases and Games through Airdrop.

I have been using this app for a while now. I am not going to go into all of the features, you can research them for yourself. I will say that this app is one of the best on  IOS for Chess study. It is well worth the small investment needed to gain the massive capabilities. The developer is regularly providing updates with enhanced features to help serious chess players. What a fantastic app! I am one of those difficult customers that hardly ever pays for apps as a lot of them are not great value, but absolutely had to for this one.  This is one of those rare apps which sets out to solve a specific goal: how to display electronic pgn chess files for serious chess players and does this in a thoughtful, well designed and focused way.  On my phone I also has stock fish and a number of other computer chess apps, but when it comes to serious game study and playing positions this is my go to.  Mr developer, if you can add: 1. a "bookmark" feature so I don't lose my place in a specific pgn and 2. buttons or swipe to go forward/backwards to next/previous game in each pgn, then this app will be 5 stars, but for now a solid 4 stars.  Well done!
