Getting your ticket
E-tickets may look like a humble barcode but when they’re stored in your app’s Booking section, they become the quick and easy way to travel, so no need to interact with anyone or anything when in the train station or onboard a train.

Picking up tickets from a ticket machine
If you plan to pick up your tickets from a ticket machine, you'll need your reference numbers which are stored in the bookings section to view at any time.

Using your Smartcard
Request a new Smartcard through the app when making your next ticket purchase. We will then send you your Smartcard in the post. You may then load the ticket onto your Smartcard at the gate.

Perfectly fine

Would be great if the payment flow (choosing ticket format, and payment type) was less clunky, needing to go forwards and backwards.

Very unhelpful station staff

They saw us running for a train and they deliberately closed doors

NFC ticket loading has been broken all year

NFC ticket loading says you don’t have any tickets to load, but the smart card page shows I have pending tickets to load… Used this feature for years and it’s suddenly stopped working in 2024. No reply from the “report a problem” chat window.

Apple Wallet at last but …

Really useful for buying tickets - not just for Chiltern - and has improved greatly since the original release. Integration with Apple Wallet at last - except the QR code in the wallet ticket is too small for the ticket gate readers to recognise. Fix please !

Failed transactions charge

Transaction often says payment failed using Apple Pay but then charges you.

Live journey doesn’t work

Tapping on a train to see the stops hasn’t worked for about 3 years. In that time I’ve reinstalled, done multiple updates and even changed phones. How does a bug like this go unnoticed and unfixed for so long?
