## Choice of Alexandria Description
Change the course of history! Can your scientific discoveries save the ancient Library of Alexandria? Will you defend the empire's legacy, or your own?

"Choice of Alexandria" is an interactive novella by Kevin Gold, author of "Choice of Robots." Your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based--90,000 words, without graphics or sound effects--and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

The year is 245 BCE; you’re a heroic polymath librarian, invited to Alexandria to tutor prince Ptolemy IV. The real Ptolemy IV fell under the sway of his evil advisor Sosibius, and brought the empire to ruin--but perhaps under your tutelage, things will turn out differently.

Or disregard your responsibilities to focus on inventions instead! With the help of Archimedes and Euclid, you can discover the steam engine, the germ theory of disease, or even robotic automata, thousands of years ahead of schedule.

Will you deplete the libraries of other cities to enrich your own? Achieve popularity for your scientific inventions, or protect the legacy of the empire? Will Ptolemy IV grow up hedonistic and selfish, or wise and just? Will you be ransomed by the pirate queen Nefertari, or can you win her over with your silver tongue?

The fate of the city of wonders is in your hands!

• Play as a brilliant inventor, a gifted speaker, or a life-saving doctor
• Make great discoveries while protecting Prince Ptolemy IV from manipulators at court
• Save famed mathematicians Archimedes and Euclid from untimely deaths
• Based on the real life of Eratosthenes, ancient genius who calculated the size of the Earth
• Save the Great Library and invent the steam engine two thousand years early!

## Choice of Alexandria Reviews in United States

### ***** "Worth It"
It’s short, funny, and full of good writing. There’s a certain style of the writer where he’s able to get you attached to these characters in so little time. I was genuinely proud of Ptolemy IV turning out a great leader, and Gold definitely has an affinity for stories about mentorship, parental figures, etc. Well done!
-- Farfaith Hero, 2018-10-18

### ***** "FUN GAME"
Really fun beautifully written
-- Joaquin546, 2018-06-01

### ***** "Blew me away"
This is a really intelligent and moving story, and it’s exciting while also thought provoking. It makes you realize your life matters and that you should make good choices.

I’m really impressed and definitely glad I bought this. It was well worth.
-- MjWood25, 2018-03-19

### *---- "Not worth 3 bucks"
Even though I seemed to have achieved the best possible outcome I found the story to be extremely short. I just love these “make your own adventure” stories but this one lacked in content. It was a good story not great and definitely not worth 3 dollars. Especially if I can finish the story in less than 4 hours.
-- Commashama, 2017-11-30

### ***** "Top end choice and consequence."
In addition to being well written with compelling characters, CoA tacks hard towards showing the impacts; short and long term; of the protagonists choices. I love it!
-- Max 0wnage, 2017-10-19

### ***** "Choice of Games repeatedly impresses"
Another great text-based adventure.
-- C1p2k3, 2017-07-11

### *---- "Not Free as Advertised"
Didn't even bother reading the first chapter. I'm highly disappointed that the game is advertised on the App Store as free, with no indication as to having to pay for more than the first chapter. If this was stated where it could clearly be seen without having to download, then I wouldn't have an issue with it. As far as I'm concerned Choice of Games is baiting downloads to boost the game's supposed popularity. Not cool.
-- Clickerbro, 2017-06-04

### ****- "Humorous, High-Minded, and Humble"
Kevin Gold might not be at his best (compare to Choice of Robots), but if you enjoy culturally captivating story-telling with a reserved retelling of history, buy this.
-- Esomorph, 2017-05-30

### ***** "A chance to live in Alexandria"
I love the choice games for letting me play as my gender. This one lives an entire life in a fascinating city. What will you do with your life?
-- Customisable, 2017-05-16

### ***-- "Really fun game"
I really like this game it was really fun to play.I rea
