## Christchurch City Libraries Reviews in New Zealand

### *---- "Worst Update ever"
I used to love the old version of the app. Since the latest update I have gone back to using the website for all my reading logs with the library.
The recent update has wiped all the lists I enjoyed using ( for later, in progress, completed).
The reading tracker in my opinion is a bit pointless. I like to read books so i can be off my phones. Bring back the old features from the original Pd version.

### *---- "Worst update ever"
The changes made in the Sept update are horrible. It wiped your ‘For Later’ list and you have to recreate your own lists or use the web version. This means you can’t quickly view what’s available from your For Later list. Your holds are not in order of what is coming up next so you have to constantly scroll and figure out which one might be available next. The search function searches each format of each title individually so you have to scroll through each one to find the format you want and the format types are written in acronyms e.g. BK for book

### *---- "App updated, wish it hadn’t…"
The app updated recently, and now there’s more fluff, it’s less streamlined, harder to use, you can actually do less on the app than you could before, and with the update it ERASED my “to read later” list as well as all my reading history, which is SO frustrating. Why?!
-- Lala603, 2026-09-12

### **--- "New app??"
Older version had way more features that you now have to go to website to use so not really worth having the app anymore
-- Kiwi2024!!, 2026-09-10

### *---- "Update"
All the rate payers money paid and the app sill looks out city streets- broken and old. Spend some money on this app and update it.
-- Kahutia, 2022-02-26

### *---- "Slow"
Painfully slow
-- Ktrtttt, 2022-02-18

### ***** "Great !"
This little app is simply amazing ! It’s easy and gives you updates on if the library will be closed, ready to pick up holds, etc… My favourite thing is that it keeps you logged on, because the website doesn’t. The overall design of the app is appealing to look at ☺️

### ****- "Change"
It’s need a change a bit
-- Kirkmayhew36, 2020-08-23

### *---- "iPad version"
App opens only in IPhone size on my IPad mini 4 iOS 12.1

Unusable for listening to downloaded audiobook. iPhone SE iOS 12.1
-- jrha5, 2018-11-29

### ***** "Very useful app"
Great app. Allows searches, holds, view account and status. Recommend. Well done
