With 10 minutes of daily practice, Christella VoiceUp will help you feminise your voice! The complete voice feminisation course contains over 2 hours of voice therapy training in 3 stages - beginners, intermediate and advanced. Each stage is available as an in-app purchase. Each stage contains five separate lessons which cover the fundamental aspects of voice and speech feminisation. These involve modification of your resonance, pitch, intonation and vowel length. The final lesson of each stage combines these skills to help you develop control sustaining your feminised voice. All exercises are demonstrated by Christella and provide a consistent voice model with clear explanations. It’s done wonders for me, though I have been dedicated to it using it religiously everyday and has provided me with an increased level of confidence with my voice. Christella is well-known in the trans voice world so I was curious to check out her app - let me say, I wasn’t disappointed!! I got all 3 stages cos I wanted to do the whole course. Each stage builds on the work covered in previous stages. The exercises are separated up into different tabs so you can do them when suits you and can navigate easily between them. It also means you can do the stages at your own pace! I really liked that Christella presents the app herself. It’s important for me to know why I’m doing each technique so I really liked that she gives brief explanations at the beginning of each stage and before each exercise. I found the voice feminisation tracker really useful too, as it kept me motivated to keep going with the course. Content-wise, the exercises used lots of words and phrases you would say in everyday life so it felt realistic. My experience: It hands-down made a difference to my voice, including an increase in pitch! :) I do think you’ve got to put the effort in though (they recommend 10 mins a day). An added bonus was that my voice also sounds less croaky, which was an unexpected plus point!!
