Great Program

This is a great program and they teach many wonderful truths regarding Jesus and Christianity. Do not be fooled by the other comment. Another comment said this was an offshoot of Jehovah’s witnesses and that Charles Russell was the founder of JW. Wrong. First, yes, this program teaches many of the teachings of Charles Russell. Charles spoke much truth and was very respected regarding Bible knowledge. However, he was NOT the founder of the Witnesses. That was Joseph Rutherford. Charles was the leader of the Bible Students. The JW broke away from Charles and the Bible Students because they begin following Joseph, who was the source of much of what the Witnesses believe today. He came along after Charles died. The followers of Charles (Bible Students) continued following the message of Charles and DID NOT follow the Witnesses. The Bible Student Movement was (and is) nothing more than a group of people who are after Bible knowledge. They follow no single person (but Christ), no creed, no sect, no denomination, etc They are a people after the true facts of the Bible and continue reading and studying it for their own truth and not that of a church or leader. Unlike most “Christian” churches who typically follow creeds and teachings of men, the Bible Students do not. They are independent and free to believe and think what they want and are not being mislead and brainwashed into accepting a list of doctrines and old creeds passed down by man. So, I had to correct that as the other comment was so mislead and flat out wrong! I am not a Bible Student or a Witness. I am just a man after Christ and I am learning and studying the Bible and currently independent from all. However, I have researched denominations and sects for many years and understand the difference between the Bible Students & the Jehovah’s Witnesses and they are very different! The Bible Students are independent so I can’t speak for all, but most do not follow either the Witnesses nor mainline Christianity. They follow the Bible.

Be careful

I had listened for a while two years ago then came back to it recently. When I joined the Facebook form I realized very few “Christians “ actually believed Christ to be God. So then I tried to find out the doctrine of the speakers. I’m not tech savvy but I do get the impression they are an off shoot of JW, or at least not Protestant doctrine. So I just wished I had know from the beginning that as they where teaching me they rejected Jesus as God in the trinity. So now I’m even more skeptical because the last thing I need is to be misguided when Jesus clearly states he is God. I Am.

Cult Warning....

Don't be fooled by these "free" deceptions. If you search Wikipedia for "bible student movement" you'll discover this is an offshoot of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization, and not the teachings of mainline Christianity. These religious zealots are pushing the questionable teachings of Charles T. Russell (the founder of JW). The fact that they hide this is cause for concern. Why not be loud and proud if you're teaching Truth? Obviously, the many praises (and 5-star ratings) come from their own adherents. If you believe as they do, these might be good apps (I suppose). But if you're seeking "true" guidance and bias-free theology, seek elsewhere. Caveat emptor....
