## chugod Pro Reviews in United States

### *---- "Does not connect to Bluetooth"
Bad
-- Ed2223, 2025-09-25

### ***** "Not sure about haters"
This sets up quick. Has easy pre selection for meats. Reliable for temp. It’s BLUETOOTH folks!
This suits me fine. Never drops as I am in my house when I smoke/grill.

I find it easy and intuitive and cheap! What a bargain.

Gets the job done, plain and simple. I like that.
I pair with the chugod device.
Don’t believe the hype. Works just fine. Been 5 years running now.

### **--- "Must stay in app"
Annoying that you have to have the app open and active on your phone in order for it to work or you get alerts that your phone has disconnected and it won’t continue to track your temperature progress. Which means I can’t do anything else on my phone when I’m smoking and have to set my Lock Screen to “never”. It’s very annoying. If not for this it would be a 5-star app.
-- danisocalifornia, 2022-11-14

### *---- "Notifications and alarms barely work"
Needs updated to work on iOS 16. Still works on iOS 12. On iOS 16, alarms do not trigger unless your phone is left unlocked and the app is open.
-- Zepfhyr, 2022-11-12

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
Doesn’t work my last app stopped working so download this one and it will not connect to my device
-- Billwilber, 2022-07-03

### **--- "Works ok"
Does not update, I suspect it doesnt have permission to run in background, but it also does not show up on the background app permission list.

So can only get a single measurement by loading the app. Then have to close it and re open to get a new reading. Really wish I could see the plot of the entire cook!
-- Midibouncer, 2022-02-01

### *---- "Why was the old app deleted"
They deleted the old app with all of our personal info. Didn’t get any notice and had to go searching for this one just to be able to use the thermometer. I can’t even see a change. And if there is one, why couldn’t the developers just update the old app like every other app developer on the store??
-- themacs123, 2022-01-09

### ****- "Simple, works fine"
Each probe identifies itself by color on screen
Nice selection of common presets
Create and label your own additional presets
-- B3nT, 2021-11-25

### *---- "Failed"
I purchased the Chugod pro from Amazon 5/19. I do not cook out frequently so it’s total use has been approx 4 times. It is stored indoors and when I went to use it today, it will do nothing. I checked the batteries and they are good but I changed them anyway with still no functionality. I liked this unit when it functioned but I’m seeking something more reliable.

### ***** "Chugod Pro is great"
This app links quickly to the thermostat and then I can continue to prepare food while knowing the meat being cooked is going to be spot on.
