Mostly good app, but with issues

I use this app for an international, professional group that I’m in, and for the most part I find it very usable, but there are definitely some shortcomings. For example, I have a lot of trouble when posting something that also involves photos. I recently posted something that I had a very difficult time with. It made it almost impossible for me too select copy to edit or put a cursor back into something I’d already typed. I wanted to re-organize my post. When I realize that the images could go wherever I wanted as opposed to just being attached but it wouldn’t let me copy paragraphs to cut and paste. It was quite frustrating. It took numerous attempts to finally make a few edits and numerous attempts to allow me to copy the entire thing so I could paste it elsewhere. And I really have similar problems trying to select or edit text even when there’s no photo involved. Also, functions to post events are very limited. It seems the only way to see or contact attendees, for the event host/original poster, is for the main administrator to do so. I have experienced other issues related to people’s profiles, in addition to other random glitchy things. I’d really like to be able to search for contacts based on location when I need a local resource, but that doesn’t seem to be possible. I don’t know if that’s more of a function of the information that the specific members provided in their own profiles, or something else. Another issue which, I do not know if this is more a function of how the administrator set up this group or something else, but it would really help to be able to do posts that were specific to geographical areas.

Constantly crashes

jd123- on

I am using this app with a consulting firm. Half the time, I can’t even get on because it crashes. I’ll reboot the phone, delete and reinstall the app etc etc, but it still keeps crashing. If you’re serving clients from this app, reconsider who you use.

The worst iOS app ever

River_Squirrel on

Non intuitive. Issues with navigation & non-responsive design. Trying to post locks up moving cursor regularly. Highlighting on a post to add a link - if you can get the cursor to move to highlight at all - means you then have to battle between the floating menu & the regular iOS pop up menu. Then you have to hit save once and then scroll to the bottom of the field to hit save again way out of view. Oddly the menu for adding links & formatting is attached above the keyboard for comments but not posts. Often have to publish a post to get the cursor to work again for a hot minute. It takes an average of 45 minutes to post by phone vs 5 or 10 by computer. Feed blocks all other navigation & it is unintuitive to get to spaces. Fonts on posts are huge while writing field is narrow in height (non responsive design) so if you find a typo it's because you re-read one or two words per line at a time... and did I mention you can't fix anything because the cursor stops moving no matter where you tap or how hard you tap. It's ridiculous a company like Circle can get away producing this junk.
