The official app for Citi Bike, NYC’s bike share system.

Citi Bike consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bike share is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.
The Citi Bike app gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.

The Citi Bike app also shows upcoming public transit departures, including MTA subway trains, shuttles, local, limited, & express buses, LIRR commuter rail trains, Metro-North commuter rail trains, PATH rapid transit trains, Bee-Line local & express buses, NYC Ferries, the Staten Island Ferry, the AirTrain JFK, the AirTrain Newark, the Roosevelt Island Tramway, and NJT commuter rail trains, light rail trains, & buses.

Es wird von einem Tages pass für etwa 20€ gesprochen. Jedoch wird dir deutlich mehr abgebucht. Ich bin zwei mal gefahren für jeweils eine Stunde. Die Rechnung war dann jedoch 60€. Auf Anfrage um Hilfe wird man nur abgewürgt und bekommt keine. 
Es ist eine schöne Idee mit dem Fahrrad die Stadt zu erkunden aber bitte sucht euch ein anderen Anbieter !!!

App lässt sich nur mit Handynummer registrieren, die man mit eSIM deaktiviert hat. Wollten 2 Bikes leihen, das ganze Registerierungsprozedere hat beim zweiten Handy so lange gedauert, dass mein Bike bereits 11min nur rumstand.
Beim 2ten Handy hat es dann gar nicht funktioniert.

Fahrräder am Central Park. 5 Räder konnten nicht ausgeliehen werden - jedesmal mit Fehlermeldung. Dann trotz gleicher Fehlermeldung plötzlich Ausleihe gestartet. Fahrrad mit schlechten Bremsen, kaputtem Tretlager. Und dann auch noch teuer - nie mehr wieder.

Leider funktioniert die App nur über wlan und nicht mit unserem Holafly Datennetz. Das ist total blöd, da man sich jedes Mal zum Entsperren und Abstellen der Fahrräder irgendwo in ein free wifi einloggen muss. 
Schade! Ansonsten bestimmt ganz gut geeignet für NYC.

We rented an e-bike to stroll around Central Park in New York. 2 hours of renting an e-bike cost in total 60$(!) because you need to buy the day pass for activating the bike (19$) and additional 0,30$ for the first 30 min and afterwards 4$ per 15 min (for 2 hours in total 40$). This was definitely the first and the last time that we have used the Citibike e-bike.

I wasn’t able to rent two bikes for one day. Processed in the app too confusing. Even for a day pass (19$), you have to swap every 30 minutes the bike. if you don’t respect this rule, you will be charged additionally by $4 for each 15 minutes.

### **--- "The app is buggy & hassle with stations"
almost every time. Was stuck in infinite loops when trying to book a plan in the app. Getting bikes doesn't work a lot of the time and sometimes the whole station is offline without any indicator in the app or at the station. The app shows 4 bikes available but one is broken, two are still charging (red indicator) and if you're lucky the last one works. Draws from credit card are split in weird amounts so you're never sure what u were booked for. When it works its a good thing and it's fun but it was a hassle everytime so far.

Vorab: Seit der Anmeldung hier werde ich am Telefon und per Mail täglich mehrfach zugespamt!!

Wir sind rund um das National History Museum in New York drei Stationen abgelaufen. Entweder warten die eBikes defekt oder leer. Bezahlung mit Apple Pay nicht möglich und man kann nur 1 Bike gleichzeitig leihen. Komplett unbrauchbar für uns

### *---- "Kein guter Kundensupport"
Hallo zusammen! 

Ich anfangs mehrmals Probleme das Fahrrad zu entsperren, wo mir schon einmal die Gebühr in Rechnung gestellt wurde. Danach sind wir ca. 45min um den Central Park gefahren und ich habe das Fahrrad wieder an der Station gesperrt. Ich war jedoch nicht mit dem Internet (Hotspot) verbunden und meine Fahrt wurde nicht in der App beendet. Daraufhin habe ich den Kundenservice angerufen und mir wurde versichert, dass sie die Fahrt beenden. Nach 30min wurde die Fahrt dann auch beendet, ich bekam jedoch später eine Abrechnung von über 70$, weil die Fahrt doch nicht beendet wurde.

Am nächsten Tag wurde ich mehrmals beim Support abgewimmelt und mir wurde letztlich das Geld abgebucht. 

Fazit: Fahrt war preislich ok. Der Kundenservice einfach lächerlich und deswegen kann ich die App / Anbieter nicht weiterempfehlen!

Whats wrong with you guys??? For years all your customers tell you to support group rides and you are ignoring it? 
This is the best example how badly a company gets managed by managers who give a dang about their customers. We are spending hours as a family to setup this app on all phones because of your ignorance.

.. this is plain ridiculous that this is not possible. We have only one phone as a couple while traveling and can not use your service. Take an example at the same rental system in Toronto CA. Two persons two day passes, one account? No problem. And we were wondering why almost all Citi bike stations in NY were always full…well that’s probably why.

Funktioniert zuverlässig und einfach.
Auch das parken nach 30min ist unproblematisch.
Einfach kurz in eine der Stationen stellen, die wirklich überall und gut verteilt sind. Das System "locked" das bike innerhalb von 2 sek.. Danach kann man es direkt wieder buchen und weiter fahren.
Wir haben uns somit ein komplettes Wochenticket für die Metro in New York gespart 👌

Citibike ist sicherlich die beste Alternative NYC zu erkunden. Allerdings wäre es noch entspannter, wenn es bei nur vollen Docks in der Umgebung eine kostenfreie Verlängerung von 10 Minuten zur Fahrt zur nächsten Station gäbe!
