I felt like Superman cruising the streets of Manhattan... But slower and fatter

I just moved to New York and since I don’t have access to any storage room where I live, I decided to go for citibike rather than buying my own. I have biked around Manhattan before and know the bike tracks. I was pleasantly surprised about how well the app worked with unlocking bikes and finding accessible bikes. I will also commute by bike to my work and it’s convenient with many places nearby to unlock a bike. Any downer? Well, sometimes I have approach a place with bikes but none of them are accessible.

We dock the bike every 20 minutes trip. Best way to see the city.

I had an issue with my account. It says that it is in hold, I called them they said they will look into it. I give it like 48hrs. I called them again asking about any update. Nothing happened. They have the worst service and also they charge extra money. I will never ever use this app again. Same goes for lyft. They have a really bad service.

Scam…makes it hard to rent a group bike and international tourists can’t rent here. Put the bike in every pot hole and side walk jump possible for these reasons.

I wish the app showed which docks are full before starting a ride - a lot of times the decision of whether I take a bike or not depends if I will be able to dock it at my destination. The app does nothing to inform that decision until it is too late.

This service is such a scam and is disappointing, I would never use these bikes again and I suggest you don’t either . A bunch of extra charges and there not straight forward on how things work !

I would give it 3 stars if I never had an issue that required me to interact with customer service. But if you do they will likely assure you everything is fine in the moment and that they’ll take care of it and then a couple days later you’ll get a bill for over $100! Love it! There’s a reason they don’t have a rating service after customer service interactions…because they do a terrible job and don’t care.

I subscribed a month ago and I was already charged as a non-member. When I went to customer service to complain why I was charged as a non-member when my subscription is valid until July 2025, both via email and chat, the response was just this account does not have a subscription. I sent the files with my subscription confirmation. They kept saying you do not have a subscription. Like I am lying!? I need to get this issue resolved, I paid for this! It’s very stressful to be wasting my time on this!

The price of e-bikes is insane. The same cost or more if an Uber at this point. Plus bike maintenance is terrible — rare to find a station with one or more e-bikes working and charged
